Alessandro, the host, is very kind and helpful, and so are the housekeepers. The hotel is very clean, safe, secure, and charming. I appreciated Alessandro having made reliable reservations for me to be picked up at the airport and also at the hotel for my return trip; the return pickup was at 5 a.m. and on time. I stayed in room #1 (the one in the top right side of the photo) with a beautiful ceiling and street-facing French doors/windows. This made the room a bit noisy on the holiday weekend but the noise did not interfere with my sleep or my enjoyment of staying at this hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a Farmacia, and numerous places to get coffee and pastries for breakfast. Alessandro recommended a bit of a longer walk (but not a difficult one) to Savia, where the arancini and pastries are terrific. The one caveat for folks considering staying at this wonderful hotel is that there is no elevator and there are numerous stairs to climb to the second floor where the hotel rooms are. But the staff are helpful if you arrive in the morning when they are there. I stayed at this hotel two nights at the beginning of my trip in Sicily and the last two nights of my trip. Molto bene! Grazie, Alessandro!
