The Byke Old Anchor Beach Resort & Spa

The room was nothing like that shown in the pictures. We were allotted room number 320 on the first floor where the door locks were rusty and could break at any moment. The cupboard provided to us was even worse. Could easily see dirt and how fragile the bottom was. The curtains were dirty and could not even cover the entire windows.I strictly demanded for room change and I could see the reluctance from their side but they provided us with a standard room no 303 on the ground floor. When we were about to change the room, I asked the helper over there to carry the luggage because I was holding my child and backpacks and my wife had two bags with her but that guy flatly refused. After seeing the new room it was way worse than the previous room. The lock handle was already broken ...the flooring could break any time... The geyser didn't work.To celebrate our kid's birthday I bought a cake. After reaching the hotel by 9pm. We had our dinner and we decided to spend the next day at the resort to play with child at the resort kids arena . We went to our room by 10.30 and decided to celebrate our kid's birthday . The moment we entered the room there was a short Circuit in the AC socket and we could easily see minimal smoke coming out of the socket. I contacted the reception desk about the issue and they sent a guy after 30 mins and after checking the issue he said Please contact the reception to send another guy for changing the button and after 25 mins after calling reception twice the guy came and he changed the Ac Switch. Thereafter after 11.30 pm a continuous powercut started to happen and my child couldn't sleep and was continuously crying. We still managed to hold on for a night and slept after our child slept.We planned to take our child to the kids area where we can play with him. To our surprise we found the kids area under maintenance and there was no game we could play ourselves or play with kids. That was the last straw I went to the front desk and asked him about the issue which I faced last night and about the kids play area...he casually said The resort is very big so small small issues can happen anytime. I shouted at him they should have mentioned the maintenance work on their website but he said if we do this then nobody will come. I said to him,Don't expect a good review from me he said ," You can write whatever you want, Management is just busy making money ".I asked him to upgrade me because of all this issue and what he said to me shocked me ...he said you are throwing all these tantrums just to get a free upgrade. I really wanted to slap him but maintained my composure and he asked the staff to show me the room ...just after exiting the reception I asked the staff about why do you guys behave like this with the guest and he said don't say anything to me whatever problem you have sort out with the reception desk and left me in between without showing the room... Eventually I went back and he showed me the deluxe room which was again smelly and I decided to shift to another standard room. In the evening I went to a nearby beach where my child could play with sand and it was the only good memory we as a parent wanted to take with us from this trip.Next day I had to board a train by 8.30 am. So I pre booked my cab on 9th October on Goa Miles Taxi app at 7.15 am on 12th October for 600 INR. I got a call from Goa Miles customer care at 6.45 am that no cab was available nearby and I am on my own. I immediately rushed to the reception and they arranged the taxi in 2 mins for 1200 INR. I paid double to end my Goa nightmare . Even I get paid to visit byke old anchor resort I would rather stay at home than coming back to this overhyped resort.

Пишу свежий отзыв. Жили в отеле 20-28 ноября 2022г. Если вам важна безопасность-точно не сюда. Практически все окна и двери на 1этаже может открыть даже ребенок. Все замки хилые, открываются снаружи с небольшим усилием. В номере -кроме комаров, мух, больших пауков и муравьев еще жили лягушки, ящерицы и крыса. Начали пропадать вещи, обычно по ночам- трусы, носки, рубашка детская, футболка, мыло! лейкопластыри, игрушки небольшие и т.д. Было непонятно и страшновато как-то. Перед отъездом проверили диван- это всё изъеденное, изгрызанное было в нём. Там целое гнездо было. Столько грязи в номере - как будто лет 10 никто не убирал за кроватью, диваном, в углах, на окнах/подоконниках, про душелет вообще молчу. Всё в пыли и паутине. Шкаф лучше не открывать, шторы не трогать, потолочный вентилятор не включать. Иначе сыпется пыль и грязь. В шкафу вонища какой-то отравой. Очень надеюсь, что крыса не ходила ночью по нам, а лазила только в той части, где стоит диван и в ванне (раз мыло оттуда стащила). Номер 703 был делюкс. Изначально был другой, но еще хуже. В этом хоть был мини-холодильник, удалось востребовать эл.чайник и 2 кружки. Одеяло, по всей видимости, не стирают. Простыни и наволочки, слава богу, были чистые, не считая пятен не отстирывающихся и желтоватого оттенка. Когда пытались найти свои пропавшие вещи- под простынь заглядывали. На матрасе обнаружили дохлых клопов. Очень надеюсь, что они подохли задолго до нас и мы не привезли этого счастья домой. Хочется отметить, что индусов, по всей видимости- селят в более чистые корпуса. Проходили мимо, заглядывали- там было чище и свежее. Но даже пустые номера были забронированы, туда русских не селили. В столовой чисто. На завтрак -тосты, что-то из выпечки, масло, джем, какой-то один вид фруктов( арбуз, ананас или папайя). Несколько острых блюд -типа овощей, картошка, бобы, суп. Чай и кофе с молоком, хлопья одного вида, молоко, сок. В бассейне купались только индусы. Полотенца для пляжа/бассейна тоже выдавали только им. Плюс- рядом с морем. Территория неплохая, украшена огонечками, но все лавки-качели поломаны. А если прогуляться до самых дальних корпусов - там жесть. Река тоже грязная, мутная, вонючая. На корпусах снаружи закрашивают плесень краской. Дорожки красят. Еще бы раз не вернулась сюда никогда. Никакая близость к морю не перекрывается соседством с крысой. По отзывам других русских- такой жести они не видели, все в шоке, хотя многие не по одному разу уже были в Индии. Наши средства от комаров плохо помогают, лучше покупать их. Если вы отлично владеете английским и сможете добиться более менее приличного номера - это хорошо. А если не очень- они делают вид, что вас не понимают и говорят одно и тоже- им нужно время

Worst experinece. Rude staff , non coperative rooms are not in good condition. Please do not visit this place. Horrible place

It such a wholesome experience! Just a 1-minute walk to the beach 🌊, amazing locality with total chill vibes. The food was delicious & home like taste with so many options 🍴 and the service staff was super warm & helpful throughout. If you’re planning a Goa trip and want a mix of comfort + beachside fun & affordable luxury, this place is definitely worth it! 🏖️❤️
