This is probably the most enjoyable vacation stay we have ever been on. Pat and Joan were so accommodating and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The home they offer is warm and cozy. We had the single bedroom with shared bathroom that Joan always made sure was clean after use. Our breakfast was the European type, hard boiled eggs, coffee, OJ, different breads, sweets, ham, cheese, jams, yogurt, fresh fruits. I'm sure if you needed something special Joan would make it happen. The location of the house is 5 min from the bus stop. C4 is the bus you need, but you can use another, C3 works, you only have to walk a few min more when it drops you off. The town of Lucan is a nice walk 25 min with some nice places to eat. We tried 3 of the places, Sabatini for great pizza, Delhi Darbar for great Indian food and Kennys of Lucan for Irish cuisine all were on top. If you plan on going to Kenny's get there before 7. Parking is tough but be patient and remember to get your meter ticket. We rented a car to do daily tours to other places that Joan and Pat recommended. Only used the bus to go into Dublin. Cost was 5.20 Euro for 2 ppl. Now the weather is an animal all its own. Plan on getting rained on, a good raincoat is a must. Don't let the weather deter you from going. We went to the cliffs of Moher, it was a wind and rain, comparable to a monsoon I wouldn't send a duck out in. We did it and enjoyed it. We had an extra set of clothes because we were soaked down to the nickers, that's Irish for underpants. Our stay was from June 26th to July 9th. We saw everything we set out to see. If you want to enjoy quiet time, they have an outdoor seating area that is nice to have coffee or a pint. I think I covered it. Fire off a question if you like. Again, we cannot thank Pat and Joan enough, Love them both. Great people.
