Avis : Artotel Gajahmada Semarang

My fav hotel for staycation in Semarang but this time it’s not my lovely experience. First room I got has leaked aircon, it dripped every second so they offered a new room. In new room, the aircon didn’t work properly but I didn’t want to complain anymore as I didn’t want to change room again and again. Booked with breakfast but they said it’s too few guests on that day so they will just let me choose my breakfast from the menu. Only one menu for each guest. I didn’t like this because the room has no proper table to eat. Even there’s only one chair. So yeah, not my best experience. But maybe I’ll give it another try. This hotel usually offered good service. Maybe just wrong timing and situation for me.

Had a little problem when checking in as im booked the studio 30 room since 2 weeks before even paid 900 thousand more than a cousin who booked the hotel 2 days before but when im checking in they said my booking is studio 25 not knowing that Trip.com using 3rd and 4th party for the booking causing misunderstanding and thus i had to wait for 1 hour with babies crying. Luckily the problem solved but that is one of the worst experience booking with trip.com. Still, i will give them chance again as theyre fixing the problem and give small gesture for apologizing

All is perfect during my stay in this hotel

Nice room, great breakfast. Nice gesture for free room upgrade. The upgraded room was huge.

Everything was okey. The place is close enough with a famous lunpia store and other restaurant. The room is clean and fancy with an artwork on the wall. They have refrigerator and coffe machine from dolce gusto. Unfortunately they dont serves you with coffee cubes. The menu for breakfast is limited. We dont have more choices but the taste still good enough.

The location is great near so many restaurant. The hotel is clean and quiet.

Not so clean for the facilities

The hotel lobby feels like an art museum and it’s absolutely beautiful. The hotel and rooms are as seen in pictures and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. Grabbing to and from the airport was convenient as it is within a 20 minute distance. Food places nearby were very convenient to grab or walk to - especially the nearby babi guling dewata shop that had juicy, succulent sate. The rooftop bar was a great place to hangout and the drinks were pretty nice. Only tip is to slather on mosquito repellent or wear long pants. Overall a very pleasant experience, would definitely not hesitate to come back again in future!

Location was good, at the central of jalan gajahmada. The room is decent size but can see that it have a lot of wear & tear although I don't think it's an old hotel. Don't expect too much of the amenities because this is only a 3 stars hotel. During my stay there was an ongoing event/ seminar that use up the whole dining hall.

Modern and funky hotel, love the interior and vibes of the staff!

Stayed for 3 days 2 nights in their studio 55. Location was great, on a main road but it was a one way road. Arrived around 5pm, check in was easy, staffs were friendly and helpful, they gave me a welcome drink voucher which offer coffee or tea or something else. Lobby is a cute little secluded area with its own hallway connecting the lobby and the restaurant. The hallway was filled with modern paintings that i should have spent more time enjoying. Room was great, beautifully decorated, very spacious. Bed was big and comfy, nice pillow. Big corner window with big dining table. Bathroom was also spacious, nice amenities, but i think their shower gel is too small i can finished the whole tube by one bath. :))) Free 2 big bottles of water which i very much appreciated considering how hot was the weather. Breakfast was nice, small area but get the job done. Not so many options to choose from, but still enjoyable. Rooftop bar has nice view but didnt see a lot of crowd on weekdays. Parking could also be a problem here. Also a minus, no pool, maybe no gym (im not sure) i dont think i saw one at the hotel. I just take a gojek to nearby celfit at paragon mall. Generally a pleasing experience.
