Anemomilos Apartments

Our adventure in Greece -- Athens, the islands -- in September 2024 was wonderful in every way. But the highlight of the trip easily was our stay at Anemomilos on the charming island of Folegandros. It is small, but spacious and the hospitality provided by the Patelis family is boundless. Our Infinity Blue Suite was quite roomy, had a wraparound balcony that provided breathtaking views of cliffs and the Aegean, sunrise and sunset and came with special inside luxury touches. Cliffside dining for breakfast gets every day off to a perfect start with a delicious assortment of hot and cold choices. The restaurant service is flawless. The pool area is a special, beautiful, serene place to escape the heat. The hotel location is also perfect, just a short, pleasant stroll to the center of Chora and an assortment of delightful restaurants, bars and shopping options. My wife and I spent several days traveling around the island and stopping into many other places that was could have stayed. Happy to say we made the right choice. Thank you to Diana, Dimitris and everyone for this truly spectacular experience.

Anemomilos was all I dreamed of and more. The room was exactly as pictured, and clean and comfortable. The views from the room’s balcony and the restaurant are like nothing I’ve ever seen - and I’ve visited 36 countries. Anemomilos is truly magical. A big part of that magic is Diana, who runs the hotel with her family. She is always aware of every guest and constantly making your wishes and plans come true. The whole staff is friendly, happy and wants you to have the best possible stay. The pool area is beautifully and well thoughtfully designed - you can easily spend a blissfully relaxing day there, being well looked after. There are many, many restaurants and shops in the easily walkable village of Chora, but honestly the best meals we had were at the hotel. Anemomilos is a dream from which you awaken feeling refreshed and renewed.

My friend and I had the most incredible stay here. The hotel is beautiful without being stuffy or uptight. The views are breathtaking, the food is delicious and the staff is so warm, friendly and helpful. I stayed a few days longer after my friend left and loved being there solo as well.

This hotel is simply the best. It is one of the very few hotels we have returned to as it is perfect. From the seamless arrival, to the gorgeous rooms, to the incredible team.. I could go on and on. Everything you could ever want is in the rooms, the pool and view are to die for... and I haven't even got to their breakfasts and cocktails. Also the location.. mere steps from the town with fabulous restaurants and then only a short bus ride down to stunning beaches.... I would stay there forever if I could.

Just read this bit if you're in a hurry... In the last month we've stayed in Athens, Chania, Heraklion, Folegandros, Santorini, Matera, Lecce & Fasano. Anemomilos was without a doubt... and by a very long way... the very best place we stayed. It was our first trip to Greece. Choosing an island (or islands) to stay on is a challenge. But good friends recommended Folegandros and Anemomilos very strongly. We're very glad we took their recommendation. This is a truly beautiful hotel on a remarkable island. The whole feel is incredibly relaxed and yet the service is impeccable and detailed. Every staff person we encountered was remarkably good. But in particular Diana & Asem went above and beyond in terms of advice and assistance. I hope very much we get back there again in the not too distant future.
