Mendip Spring Golf and Country Club

The rooms are comfortable but basic on a night they market ar 45/50 ok but not.the nights that are at 85 plus. The food and drink offering is average. The atmosphere not for those other than golfers. Staff quite young and not.much of a clue. Breakfast isn't included and I wouldn't bother with it.

Stop over before our early morning flight very convenient location for airport Remote location exceptionally quiet and peaceful Plenty of parking Staff rang to check if we wanted dinner as restaurant closes at 8pm very helpful We seemed to be the only ones there the lady at the bar was fabulous friendly warm and helpful Lovely surroundings but not anyone about so no usual bar atmosphere Room clean beds not very comfortable but had everything we needed for a stop over at a decent price Would use again as very close to airport at competitive price

Had a great weekend at Mendip, the golf course is in excellent condition. The course is very long 6500 yards really glad we had buggies. Make sure you take plenty of balls as there is water everywhere. The rooms are basic and some in our party said their wardrobe was very small. but have flat screen tv and a great shower . The beds are not the most comfortable I've slept on . The food I thought was very good indeed I spoke to the chef and he spiced my curry up for me . The meat pie was excellent, well done chefs. The bar was well stocked and had really polite staff, special mention to Jack, Cherry, and Jane, great service. Thanks also to Scott who arranged everything for us and all the staff at Mendip.

We celebrated my husband's 90th birthday at Mendip Spring - everything, from initial planning a year before the day until the last guest left was wonderful. Between 45 of us, at least 7 had dietary issues - all of which were handled dilligently without fuss. The food was very enjoyable and service impeccable. Our room was very comfortable and warm, with plenty of space and lots of towels. Lovely view of the course, too. Very enjoyable breakfast the next morning. We liked it so much we have booked for NYE too, as have two of our guests. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a party venue.

Great location close to Bristol airport, comfortable and clean rooms and early start for airport was reason for our stay. Plenty of parking. We would recommend and use again. Bar area was nice and menu for food looked good although we didn't try any of the meals.

Mendip Spring provided my daughter with a great wedding venue. Emma the venue coordinator, supported us throughout the event and was able to suggest a Disco (who kept us dancing all night long) and recommended a photographer. The food for the wedding was plentiful and even provided guests with some to take home which was over and above. We ate in the bar on three occasions and the food was great, they even helped present a Birthday cake with singing. Emma’s team were great and nothing was too much trouble, even when we made some unusual requests. We had plenty of time to decorate the room as we wanted and Emma helped by assembling the wedding cake which took nerves of steal. We would recommend Mendip Spring to anyone wanting a wedding with the personal touch and family friendly. They were able to accommodate our disabled guests, dietary requirements and baby changing facilities. Thank you all for making our daughters wedding so special.

First impressions i thought we had made a mistake coming here as we was looking for a quiet weekend retreat. As we entered the reception we couldnt hear anything due to the rowdy patrons in the bar. We booked a meal and came in later in the evening but was disgusted by the filthy foul mouthed language again by the patrons. Went back to our room for an early night away from the noise of the bar but no joy there our room had adjoining doors and we could hear the guy next door snore and his wife had an awful cough. 1am the people above us came back and we had a good hour of stairs clanging and heavy footsteps then we could hear taps running toilet flushing then showers coming on so clearly the may have well have been in our room. but besides this it is a lovely place and the food was amazing. Its just a place we personally would not consider again due to the language and noise in the Bar area and the lack of noise reduction in the rooms. to finish of our stay we was treated to a guy passing our car dropping his guts god knows what he had eaten but smell was like sewage. thanks for that!! Nice place but like being on a rowdy council estate.

An amazing wedding venue, we had our wedding here 7th October 2023 and we could not of asked for a more perfect day. Emma the wedding coordinator is fantastic, she ensured everything was planned so that the wedding day and evening went smoothly, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms for our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast were decorated beautifully with our chosen colour scheme.The food was outstanding delicious and plentiful.All staff we met on the day were very friendly and professional

Service first class and nothing is too much trouble for the staff Accommodation was clean and tidy on arrival. Food is excellent and at a very reasonable price. The surroundings are fantastic set on the edge off the village off Congresbury North Somerset.
