Akra Fethiye the Residence Tui Blue Sensatori - Ultra All Inclusive - Adults Only

Where do I start?! Our daughter and son-in-law highly recommended we booked The all-inclusive++++ Residence for our 20th wedding anniversary holiday, and I am soooo glad we took their advice. We booked a Penthouse room for 9 nights, flying with EasyJet from Edinburgh, and we splashed out and booked a private return transfer with DM Transfers from Dalaman airport. The transfer was perfect, and more like a limousine with chilled water, tv and wi-fi to enjoy. On arrival at The Residence, we were greeted and ushered to a personal check-in with chilled facial towels, champagne and chocolates, while our luggage was discreetly whisked away to our room for us. We were walked to our room, with the young lady explaining the bars and restaurants to us. Our room was absolutely perfect (we were in 4534) overlooking the immaculately maintained pools with views out to the sea. The penthouses have a private jacuzzi on the balcony along with a double rattan sunbed, table and 2 chairs with a huge rollable parasol which is invaluable in the heat of the day! Our room had a huge bed, balloons and pillow scent and a chilled bottle of Prosecco waiting for us along with a beautiful strawberry heart-shaped cake, as the hotel knew we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary while we were there. Apart from that amazing start, the room had its own lounge area with a jacuzzi bath, double sink vanity units, separate shower and toilet, separate dressing room and every single luxury you can imagine - Kraft paper-packaged bath hats, sewing kits, razor and shaving kits, loofah, toothbrushes, amazing scented hand wash and shower gels and body lotions, dressing gowns and slippers, yoga mats and beach bags, hair driers and hair straighteners, USB points and a UK plug point, iron & ironing board, and so much more. In the room you also had a bar area with 1/2 bottles of whisky, gin, vodka, waters and a bottle of wine, and a fully stocked fridge with water, beer, orange juice, ginger ale and milk, along with a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and pods. All this is refreshed daily, so as you finish a bottle of anything, they will just replace it the next day free of charge. Every day the maid will come in and change the towels and re-make and change the bed, refreshing any toiletries you have used. Then you'll have a visit from the bar man re-stocking your drinks, and then later in the evening while you are out enjoying cocktails and evening meal, housekeeping will return and re-make the bed and do a turn-down service, put the ambient lights on and air conditioning if the room is too warm and close the curtains and re-stock the towels. The amazing staff in the hotel make you feel you are staying in a hotel where you are truly welcome, and you are! From the reception staff to the maids to the pool staff to the restaurant and cocktail staff - without exception they are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely place to go. Food was brilliant drink was non stop. We went upstairs before dinner to the Balkin and had drinks there. The barman Emrah was fantastic very knowledgeable about the cockrails. The cocktails are to die for. Just ask they make anything for you. Pool was lovely. We hired a cabana for the day, which was really nice being waited on all day was definitely spoilt. Was my first time there and would definitely return. We did not use the spa as we thought it was quite expensive. We asked the Tui rep for a place to go, and she recommended somewhere which was really good and the Turkish bath was such fun.

We chose the Residence for our honeymoon and we weren’t disappointed. I can’t recommend it enough and we are already planning another visit. From the moment we arrived the service was 1st class, starting with a glass of champagne, speedy check in and a guided tour to our room where we were greeted by a bottle of champagne on ice, a cheesecake and hand written note from the guest experience team. The location, rooms and facilities are fantastic, we had a superior double with balcony in block C and the view across the pool and sea did not disappoint. The rooms were always clean and the maid service was impeccable. The staff throughout our stay were brilliant and I wish I could give a shout out to them all but Selmen, Yusuf, Cansu, Mehmet, Esma & Onur at the Watergate bar were superb. I might be swayed by their constant supply of Efes & ‘Passioned Touch’ cocktails but they were friendly and welcoming each day and made our pool days ultra relaxing. The food was amazing everywhere we ate, our favourites were the Far East, Indian & Mexican themed nights at the Food Repertory, the Cuphea and the Basilico. Fatma and Mustafa served us on multiple occasions and were brilliant everytime. Again all we can say is how perfect the Residence was.
