Regency Hotel Parkside

The hotel is nicely located in a good neighbourhood and is clean and well-maintained. It is still a bit pricey for the space and service that you get. I got an upgrade for my single room into the family room with had a third bed so the room as such was still full. The bathroom was not so large but they offered clean towels and sufficient shampoos. The door of the room didn't close too well and you needed to manually close it. The desk is too high for the chair to work relaxed at it. The room window was above the inner yard where an engine was making noise at occasions. But it had no effect on my sleep. English breakfast, carpet everywhere and old furniture so a stylish hotel that blends well in Marleybourne.

I am not impressed. Spend one night there. I was put in a disabled room. This wouldn't normally be an issue but the sink was so low, that I had to almost fully squat down to use it. At 5am I was woken by a very loud noise. It sounded like someone was drilling into the wall next to me. I had to call down twice. Eventually it turned out it was the pipework in the walls. The carpet was also quite dirty. At breakfast the juices were terrible. The orange juice was from very poor quality concentrate. There was no jam, honey or chocolate spreads. The water melon was fermented and the kitchen staff had to bring some new melon out. The honey melon was under ripe. Surely you check the food before it leaves the kitchen. The rest of the breakfast was good but nothing special. When I mentioned these issues to the reception they didn't even know I called down in the night (surely you have a night log?!). They apologised and offered me 500 points. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel! More like a 3 star.

A FUIR : BES BUGS !! 🪳🪳🪳🪳 Chambre infestée de punaises de lit . Une seule nuit passée là bas et depuis c’est le cauchemar… plus d’une semaine et nos piqures nous démangent toujours autant (voir photos) . La maison des personnes chez qui nous allions ensuite est infestée malgré d’extrême précautions ! Un coup conséquent : intervention d’un professionnel de désinsectisation, coûts de laverie pour passer nos affaires en urgence à 60°, achat d’un appareil vapeur, coût des produits pharmacie…. Sans compter le temps de vacances perdu 😡

I booked a room for 3 adults, and I honestly can't even imagine what was going through their minds when they dedicated this room to us. Aside from blood-stained beds and dusty floors, the toilet was extremely small. One of the housekeepers made the catastrophic mistak of placing an air freshener on the heater! Luckily, nothing really happened, but imagine otherwise. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast buffet (though al carte is available) but that's not an issue. The issue comes when you ask for laundry and instead of helping you, they tell you to google the nearest :) Save your money and book somewhere else. Aside from a number of friendly staff, nothing is good about this hotel.

Excellent location, quite neighborhood, close to Baker Street and Regent’s Park! Lovely small hotel! Nice restaurants within walking distance. Perfect for a long weekend stay, would recommend it to anyone!

I had an overnight stay with my Daughter. We had a room with two single twin beds. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, although quite narrow. There were tea and coffee making facilities plus shower gel and soap for hand washing. Towels were nice and white. I had a problem with the tv and the gentleman from the front desk came up and sorted it straight away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We booked for breakfast which I thought was really good value, £10 per person. It was a standard English breakfast. You could make your own toast with several condiments and someone cooked whatever you chose from the menu. Check out 11 am.

Stayed here for two nights with friends. Room was very clean and comfy beds. The hotel is a short walk to Baker Station which is excellent. The staff were friendly and printed out our boarding passes for us leaving for the airport. All in all, I couldn’t fault it. The rooms are a little small but expected for London.

Paid £202 for a family room (2 x adults, 1 x 6yrs child). Room as expected, small but adequate and clean. Had an adjourning room, which was locked. However, they checked in a young couple at midnight for the adjourning room. Reception not very helpful, despite the language and volume at midnight. Music and ‘noise’. Kept knocking and asking reception for support. Finally got to sleep at 4am. Our child just thinks dogs were barking all night. Raised it with the receptionist in the morning and couldn’t give a care in the world. Just said sorry nothing can be done … understand that happens, but don’t check a boozed couple into an adjourning room where children are sleeping 😞 In short, great hotel if you’re going to get boozed and pass out. Didn’t stay for breakfast, so cannot comment.
