Room is very large and there are extra pillows, always a plus! Nice bathroom and shower. Big wardrobe with a safe. Kettle for tea and coffee in the room, with sugar and creamer. On site restaurant was very good, we had dinner there. Staff are lovely. Free parking across the street. In an odd spot, sort of a ***** mall with the entrance in the middle. Very comfy. Only negative was the lamps are a bit dim, but the room has a balcony!

We stayed for 2 nights, the room for 3 was basic but very spacious, comfortable beds, how ever the bathroom area has no door, the wc and shower both have a glass door that you can totally see through, and hear everything, very embarrassing! The hotel is very big and the food is great, breakfast, dinner, drinks- all nice and not too expensive. The service was not good, our room wasn’t ready when we got there, and when we finally got to it, the third bed wasn’t ready (no towels too), the breakfast payment was very hectic, and finally when it rained they wouldn’t open the gate for us to go in the parking area because “the parking is flooded “, after 5 (!) calls on the intercom, we managed to drive in and found a small puddle, not even close to a flood (our other car wasn’t even wet!). It was really stupid and rude and just unnecessary.

Goede attente en correcte service. Receptie medewerker netjes en attent. Mooie goed ingerichte kamer. Kingsize bed met goed matras en kussens. Ligging kamer goed , gesitueerd in mooi verbouwd en aangepaste hoeve.

We stayed here for a night and it’s basic and fine. The breakfast just had the necessities like some eggs, bread, cheese, ham, etc. but it was good. They also had a nice coffee machine so if you want to drink a cappuccino you can! While the breakfast area was small, it was enough to seat quite a few guests. When we arrived (I believe it was around 8:30am) there were tables that were not cleared yet and during our breakfast only one of those tables was cleared and cleaned which is something they could improve so the guests don’t have to stare at trash all the time. The room did not have a fan or an airconditioning, which is fine, but we also could not open the windows at night because they did not have screens and there were quite a lot mosquitoes and other unwelcome guests waiting to get into our room. The windows were also extremely dirty which is quite disgusting since they open inwards. The beds were clean and the mattress was soft and surprisingly comfortable! The bathroom had soap and showergel/conditioner attached to the wall and the showerhead was small but powerful. For the elderly there was a chair in the shower so you could sit down. The towels were clean and there were two shower towels per person. (the smell in the room also gave away a lot of elderly stay there) The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful so for people wanting to cycle or hike its perfect. Outside the hotel is a seating area where you can drink something. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of shade. While you drink your cold beverage you can enjoy the view of a small lake and fountain separating the hotel from a main road. We read online this was a 2 star hotel but it was worth 4 stars. In our opinion everything was fine but compared to other 2 and 3 star hotels we stayed at it is definitely not worth 4 stars. Definitely a hotel to consider for an event so you basically only have to sleep there. Le service était bon. Chambre complète. Petit-déjeuner bien soigné et choix vaste. Malheureusement, nous avons eu la Chambre au-dessus du pub irlandais. C'est beau inestimable. Jusqu'à 4.00 heures pas fermé l'œil. Malgré les fenêtres fermées ventilateur, même sans air-condition, et était très chaud ....Ces chambres au-dessus du pub devraient être utilisées de manière utile ......

Nous étions 3 couples avec un bongo dans 3 chambres différentes, un seul couple avait droit à une bouilloire avec café ou thé. Chambres vieillissantes mais on voit qu'on essaie de les moderniser. Personnel très gentil et accueillant. Nous sommes toutefois déçus qu'il n'y ai pas un endroit cosy avec un vrai bar, nous avons eu froid dans le couloir d'accueil qui servait de ”coin” détente. Aucun coin divertissement proposé. Matelas très très mou. SDB avec douche (rideau) mais très propre. les environs sont magnifiques, villages et maisons typiques, pas mal de promenades à pied ou vélos (bcp de pistes cyclables). Repas du soir (bongo) décevant. Nous avions droit à entrée+plat ou plat+dessert. Entrée = soupe plus que basique. Plat : poisson. Dessert :crème brulée+ 1 boule de glace. Bon mais décevant. Je pense que le problème était le bongo. Belle journée à tous :)

It is a historical venue with character and a beautiful courtyard. The rooms as spacious but old outfitted. Parking is outside exposed to the elements, and the restaurant is not always opened. The staff speaks several languages, the breakfast is abundant, and the location is ideal to reach the town center and walk in the woods. It is a good place but not one I would necessary choose above other options

This is a very nice place and probably we would stay again. It is in a historic building and that comes with certain quirks. The biggest thing to know is it’s not for people who are physically limited. You don’t park near the entrance and there are no elevators to the room. Everything has steps and there is no assistance offered, so unless you get a ground floor room you are toting your bags up the narrow steps. We are fully able so it wasn’t a problem. The grounds are gorgeous and the staff generally very nice and helpful. It’s a bit odd though as it combines high luxury with low frills, such as no help with bags. They seemed a bit understaffed. The food is great but expensive if you dine in. Not unreasonable for the food but high for every day dining. Overall the stay was very good but a bit on the expensive side. One oddity was we wanted to stay an extra night ( we emailed a few weeks ahead and got no reply) and when we inquired as we checked in were told they had a room but they couldn’t book us at the front desk we had go online. We decided to move on.
