Located at Playa Hermosa (beautiful beach) which is the north end of Santa Teresa. Beautiful custom built, in 2009, 1 bedroom, bath, full kitchen. Artisan created windows & bamboo ceilings! Located just 750 ft to most amazing beach & surf around, only a 3 minute walk. Incredible living along with Surfing, Yoga & First Class dining in this cool spot at the north end of Santa Teresa-Malpais. We hope you enjoy our Special Spot! We also have Full Moon #674745 (2 bed, 2 ba) on the property for a larger group or rent both.
Spacious, open with all its windows, & very well equipped, Half Moon is a 3 minute walk(750 feet) to the beach, which is located at the north end of Santa Teresa, on the Playa Hermosa Beach access. It was custom built in 2009 with lots of bamboo & custom cabinets & doors, as one of our get-aways - now (January 2017) we find we are not there as often as we would like, so we will share our spots with you! Half Moon is perfect for 3 adults or 2 adults and a young child. The roomy, air-conditioned bedroom with a queen bed, has its own garden bathroom. Comfortably furnished, totally air-conditioned, the kitchen is fully equipped - refrigerator, range/oven, etc., and a safe for your valuables. Beautiful split bamboo lines every ceiling in the home. No alarms necessary! Outside are 2 patios to watch parrots, hummingbirds, iguanas, etc. No alarms necessary! The howler monkeys visit, sometimes twice a day! They troop along the treetops and graze on leaves and flowers of the trees on the property. The beautiful beach is about 700 feet away and only a 3 minute walk with no hills to climb and no roads to cross. You can call in for chef services, indulge in a massage at Spa Bambu, yoga or Pilates instructions at Pranamar or Flor Blanca, arrange surf lessons, go horseback riding at a nearby Eco farm, take a drive and discover why we built in this beautiful area of Costa Rica! We are around a 5-10 minute drive south, into the town of Santa Teresa. Malpais is another 5 minutes further south from Santa Teresa. We are 5 minutes to Manzanillo, which is to our north. Perfect Getaway
I have visited Playa Hermosa for many years. It is a magical place. Denise's property is in the heart of the location. Her property is an ode to this. You will be surrounded by the rich and varied flora and fauna. A calm and beautiful retreat. It is tranquil, clean and well-maintained.The magnificent beach is only a 5 minute walk directly down the road.The nighttime is so beautifully quiet, except for the nightbirds, their song a lovely sound.Across from the property is an excellent cafe with a extensive menu of fresh foods.A shout out to Kristi and Casey, who mange the day to day of Halfmoon and Fullmoon. They are responsive, super friendly and very experienced.We loved our two week stay.

An Amazing Stay!
The short walk to the beach was the highlight of our fantastic vacation. There were two very easy ways to grab delicious coffee and breakfast or lunch: across the street at Couleur Cafe or on the way to the beach at Manta Ray. The host was responsive and the property immaculate. An amazing stay!

Peaceful, Convenient Beach House
This property is incredible. The location in Hermosa beach is super convenient. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, a surf shop and cafe across the street, grocery a few minutes away and a quick atv/car ride into Santa Teresa.
The house is tucked into an incredible amount of nature, well stocked, and the design is very cool. So many windows letting you take in all the surrounding beauty.
I had booked Half Moon, but due to a leak in the roof, the owner moved me into the main building on the property Full Moon, which was great and generous. The property managers that live locally were super friendly, helpful, and responsive.
This is the perfect rental for anyone who wants a peaceful Costa Rican retreat and a great base of operations for a surf trip.

Great spot
Everything was great and as described. This was my second time staying at the property. I would easily go back. Very helpful host and managers. Great location, removed from the hustle and bustle of the town. Highly recommended.

Magical Month!

The Perfect Stay - A VRBO beyond perfection!
Our stay at this enchanting Vrbo was an absolute dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible location – just a breezy 3-minute stroll to the beach and the main surf spot, across the street from the surf shop to rent boards, and conveniently located next to two cafes that served delicious food. Also at the edge of town for a quiet and peaceful retreat.
The building and amenities were nothing short of perfection, seamlessly blending comfort with the essence of a tropical excursion. The outdoor shower was a standout, offering a sublime experience under the tropical sky – a true highlight of our stay!
Additionally, there was impeccable communication from our hosts. They left no questions unanswered, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience. The WiFi was also excellent, allowing us to stay connected with ease.
We do not plan on staying anywhere else when we return. It was truly paradise.

Relaxing and easy walk to the beach
This is a beautiful home in an excellent location. Comfortable beds, ceiling fans, A/C and a private porch. It’s an easy few minute walk to the beach. We rented surfboards across the street for a reasonable price. The surf break is great. We enjoyed a meal at the cafe across the street, and there’s a mini market a couple blocks away. We highly recommend this vacation home!

Unforgettable first trip to Costa Rica
House was amazing and the property was surrounded by trees and wildlife. Absolutely stunning! A quick walk down to gorgeous Hermosa beach. A delightful cafe across the road and a cute little shop. A quick drive down the road brings you to the village of Santa Theresa for all of your dining and shopping desires! Wonderful people and Kristi and Casey were invaluable to our trip! Would not have been the same without them. Cannot wait to come back!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us Denise!!!
