We had a wonderful two nights at Corse Lawn. The welcome was warm and friendly. The hotel is an old country house, and we felt exactly as though we were wrapped up in a comfortable bubble of old charm loveliness. The room was large, with good twin mattresses, quality linen, blankets, and antique furniture. There was proper tea (a teapot!), coffee, and home-made biscuits. Lots of fresh fruit. Magazines and newspapers. Even an extra heater in case we were cold. We slept extremely well, and it was totally quiet and peaceful. The only small issue was the lack of water pressure in the shower, but this is a tricky thing to solve in rambling country houses. The towels were wonderful, thick, fluffy, and plentiful. The food was excellent. We had 2 suppers and 2 breakfasts. There was a good choice of dishes. I would say country house cooking at its best. The wine list was spectacular! Excellent choice very well selected and very sensibly priced. I guess one would expect this from the Hine family, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent at all times. The price is very reasonable. We absolutely loved it, and we will return. A lot of hotels could learn from the food and service levels offered here. Thank-you to all and very highly recommended.
