Wellingborough

I have stayed in almost 100 premier inns over several years. This is the worst one. We were here for 2 nights , checked in on 2 separate bookings as we had a funeral to attend. During our funeral ceremony we received 2 missed calls and voicemails . We called back to be sternly told that we should have checked out at 11. When we explained we were booked for 2 nights they checked again and admitted their mistake. Upon our return from the funeral later we found the room had not been cleaned, bed not made, no towels etc. We noticed an old mayonnaise pot from previous guest under our bed . I politely explained to the hotel manager why we were not happy. Instead of offering an apology she told me I should have complained the previous day somehow making this our fault. She interrupted me a couple of times and I drew the conversation to a close as I had come to the desk to raise awareness and not to find myself in an argument. The hotel itself is of a standard consistent with other premier inns and so I draw the conclusion that the problem rests with the way I which it is managed. For £200 for two nights this was extremely poor value .

The last few years stafmembers were the same. This year most stafmembers were different then the years before. But this year they made a goody table for the walkers with water and fruit. Staffmember Kazper went beyond his duty, to make sure we had a very good time at the restaurant (formerly known as Beefeaters)

I stay in a lot of premier inn. This possibly the worst. With lacks of air con you would expect temperatures to be at least bearable but the wellingbourgh premier lack of any air flow makes it extremely uncomfortable. On top of staff past 5pm rarely available, I waited 15 mins in reception just to get some extra shower gel as ours had been watered down (maybe cost cutting). Still no staff to be seen anywhere. We were maid aware no evening meals available in the attached pub but not no breakfast. Not the worst thing to happen in the world just inconvenient showing lack of organisation and probably lack of investment. We come this direction often doubt would use this one again.

Brilliant. The man on the bar was on his own and very professional and accommodating. He’s a star. 07.05.25 Had fish and chips. Very filling and lovely. Decent sized fish. Bi daunting ladies on own at times. . But was made to feel welcome and relaxed.

Big Room, very comfy beds. But, there is no drawers, no shelves, nothing for your clothes and accessories. Even the bedside table -was not a table doesn't have a drawer. I stayed for 9 days, and I wanted to have a shelf, drawer, a cabinet or something. My t-shirts, my underwear and my make up was all on the table next to coffee and kettle. I understand it is your concept but, please consider revising it.

At 18:30 told could not book a table for dinner until 19:40. Food didn’t arrive until 20:30. At breakfast the staff did not know how to establish it was included in the rate! I left without breakfast. Normally Premier Inn is ok, but this was poor!
