We stayed here on our trip up the Oregon coast. This is a great scenery for the private glass/mirrored pods, just beautiful. The sauna was unique and amazing. The food was great but pricey. We loved the menu options. The service was wonderful. The only thing I wld recommend is a refrigerator in the room, we only had a small cooler for ice.

Our stay at Tu Tu Tun Lodge exceeded our expectations in all aspects, including the services provided by the restaurant, receptionist, and housekeeping. The grounds were impeccably maintained and immaculately clean. One memorable evening, we had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant. The chef graciously introduced himself and provided an informative explanation of the menu items. We thoroughly enjoyed the personalized attention. We opted for the upper room, King, which featured a fireplace. I was particularly delighted to have experienced a wood-burning fireplace after several decades.

Our long weekend at Tu Tu Tun was the best birthday present from my husband! We savored our time there - the delicious meals with exceptionally friendly staff, reading poolside with gorgeous view of the Deschutes, and first class massage & facial! The glass cabin was so cool to sleep in with ability to view the soothing surroundings through 2 full walls of glass. Highly recommend!!

Its pretty sad that new owners could wreck such a pretty place. All employees that had been there and made it a great place for travelers were fired or quit due to their arrogant chef-management. They should go back to Southern California and take their felon employees with them

What a lovely stay we had. We were 3 couples celebrating anniversaries, retirement and birthdays! The lodge itself is beautiful however the staff — every part of the staff were friendly, welcoming and just completely sweet, fun and attentive! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

Great location but pricing is somewhat misleading. The lodge states that in lieu of tipping they automatically add 18% to everything. I assumed that would be meals, drinks, etc. No problem. However they also add 18% to the base room fee. So when I went to research I made a "what if I booked two nights" and I got a base price of $1100 with a "Exclusive Tax" of $93.50 PLUS a "Exclusive Tourist Tax" of $198. These two "taxes" amount to over 25% of the base fee, and they are NOT a tax! The actual state and county taxes for our room where very reasonable. Bottom line their pricing is very misleading. On the positive site the location is great, food was good but the continental breakfast which is included was meager at best.

Such a disappointment. Lets start with the good; the setting is amazing. The lodge itself is about 5 miles inland up a very windy road that follows the north bank of the Rouge river. It's picturesque really. We pulled up and stepped out of the car and the air was filled with that amazing smell of campfire smoke. We booked a glass cabin, which are all very new (last fall) and very modern. We both thought the king bed was super comfortable. The head bartender Adrian was delightful. We had a few convos with them and found out they had just started a few days prior. (possible foreshadowing) It goes downhill from here. The food is not good. Our dinner for two the first night of our stay was over $300 and was not good. The drinks were great but the main courses were sub par. I couldn't finish the black cod. The wait staff are all new, awkward and inexperienced. The sommelier, Nick was knowledgable and nice but we overheard him tell four tables that they were out of cabernet. "All cabernet?" "Yes, all cabernet." What kind of dining establishment with a wine list of any sort runs out of ALL CABERNET? We had the same sort of experience for breakfast and dinner the next day and again at breakfast the day of our checkout. Why did we keep eating there you ask? Because you are literally in the middle of nowhere when you are at Tu Tu'Tun. Settling into the glass cabin, we also started to realize that for all its modern design and newness, it was tiny. And, there was nowhere to put a bag. Literally not room for one bag. No luggage stand, no room under the bed or a chair. The cabin is tiny and literally jammed with furniture from one mirrored glass wall to the other. If you, like most, are road tripping to Tu Tu' Tun you are going to have a few bags. We had two small carry-ons, a medium checked bag and two backpacks piled onto both chairs and in the middle of the floor to trip over for two days. Spa services are good but overpriced. But, again, they are the only option for hours and hours and it was my birthday trip so it was okay. The final straw though, the bit that turned this 3 star review into a 1 star review is that they double charged us for our stay. I had booked the cabin through my credit card's travel site with rewards points. So I was surprised to see a charge for the room on my card when we got back from our trip. I emailed and got no response. I waited a day and called and spoke to a woman that had seen my email, acknowledged the mistake and promised to get back to me the next day. Two days later and... crickets. Another email sent with no response. I eventually had to resort to contacting my credit card issuer and disputing the charge. Which sucks because its a hassle for everyone. A couple other reviews mention new ownership and I can't confirm this directly but it would track. We jokingly wondered if there had been a mass walk-out recently because all of the staff were new and seemed lost. Final thoughts; The inexperien

We stayed at the Tu Tu Tun to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We have been coming to the lodge for over 25 years. We had a wonderful time. The food at dinner was excellent. We loved every meal. The lodge has changed with the times, but it is still a gorgeous property and well worth the splurge for a special occasion.

Such a beautiful property, but we were accused of smoking in our room after our first night. We absolutely did not smoke in our room, but there was a slight campfire smoke smell when we first got there. They told us they would be charging us $500 to clean the smoke smell or we could just leave and thet may charge us less for cleaning the smoke smell if it cost them less. They said they would also be charging us for the 2nd night of our two night stay. My wife does smoke but did not smoke in the room. She only smoked outside. We had no mentions or signage about smoking on the property. We checked in late and got our keys from the bartender who also made no mention of no smoking. Needless to say, we left after one night of a scheduled two night stay and were forced to find last-minute accommodations elsewhere. Ultimately we only paid for the first night (due to a clerical error on their part) with no $500 fee but this took alot of arguing, a visit to the room from two female employees who insisted they smelled cigarette smoke in the room and a call to the owners of the property who insisted we needed to pay the fee. Bottom line.. this could've been handled a lot better. It was obvious this smoking policy is a big money maker for them. If you don't want smoking or smoke smell, then cut out the campfires as well.
