Dakhla Spirit Camp - Kitesurf Hotel

Sadly Easy - pay more, go elsewhere. Poor quality rooms, no kitesurf equipment and nobody helping in hostel who knew about kiting which was really bizarre for being next to Dakhla. Where I pumped up my kite the owner decided to do mechanics on his car. The floor was not safe and the door not wide enough to get kite out safely. For first 3 days I was the only guest so not good for solo travel. For lessons, guests had to go across the lagoon to KBC kiting - and had to ask hostel many times to provide lunch or pay 35 euros at the location. There was cockroaches and mice in my room, no hot water, electricity goes off all the time so constantly had to ask for WiFi and no lights past around midnight. Food was OK in the evenings but lunch was always tuna pasta. Breakfast was roti and cake and had to ask for fruit. Website promised free downwinder but had to pay through another hotel. The view was nice and bar nice to sit in. Ali who helped launch my kite every day was friendly and also the barman. However they seemed to work 16 hours days every day so they seem to be treated as badly as the hotel.

Very good experience, i have been here in 2018 and some things and staff are change of corse, there was a pandemic between. If you are a person that is looking for luxury hotel go away.. But if you want to enjoy a wild vacation, doing Kitesurf or other wind sports this is the perfect spot in Dakhla, nothing miss you have a good clean room and meals every day.. After a pair of days you realized that you don't need any thing more for feel good because after 8h in water with 25knots every day you want only to eat and go sleep.. Moreover, the people that are working here are really good.. Breakfast, launch and inner are really good. I suggest to rent a car, dakhla city is far and there are some nice spots too far..
