Mai Vang Hotel

I believe this is the first time I've written a negative review. I'm very positive and just don't like to say negative things about anything but feel compelled to warn others. From the first interaction which was essentially a threat to the last day things were bad at this hotel. I received a email stating that I must wire payment to the hotel prior to my stay or they would give my room away. I had 24 hours to comply. I messaged the hotel and told them I don't have a way to wire payment to a vietnam bank account and would pay when I arrived. Things were worked out and they held my room. Staff is despondent. Completely unhelpful. Ignore you while they look at their cell phones. I did receive things I asked for such as extra pillows but was left feeling like I was just being a nuisance. No greetings ever. No help unless you ask. Hotel was loud. I was on the 5th floor and breakfast is served from 6am to 8am only which was odd. They started moving chairs and tables around at 545am directly over my room. So no sleep past 545am. Hallway was very loud and other guests were yelling. Babies crying and kids screaming right outside my room at 545am. Street noise is very loud so no sleep before midnight. Room is large and beds fairly comfortable. Difficult if not impossible to shower without getting water all over the floor. Bathtub was fairly good if you are a small short person. Water was relatively hot. Bathroom is large and functional. Housekeeping staff was a bit to eager to get the room cleaned and came in twice on me despite the fact I had the do not disturb light on. The doorman at the end of my stay did kindly help me with my luggage so that's a plus. I would never stay here again. Be warned.
