Hard Rock Hotel Dalian

Nice place an hour away from downtown Dalian if u need a quiet weekend. Golden pebble Beach is literally five minutes away by foot and the hotel has a nice mix of western and local food available during the day. Worth the money when its sunny out for sure.

Most of the staff do not speak English at all! Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here. I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment. The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone. The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese. There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt. The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space. The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel. There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee. The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality. There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

My recent stay at the Hard Rock Hotel was outstanding! The room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean – the perfect place to unwind with a great location near the beach. Dining was a highlight: the restaurant, which had a truly vibey atmosphere, made it even better by great live entertainment. I also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing spa treatment. What truly set this stay apart was the exceptionally helpful management. They made me feel genuinely welcome and went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met. Highly recommend for comfort, fun, and top-notch service.

We had a short overnight stay. Location is good. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. To preorder the day before and lacking taste.

The hotel has a great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and the service is very good! We had a small hick-up in our room and then we got offered free breakfast. The life music at night in the bar was great. The hotel is very close to Pebble Golden beach and the burgers are delicious. Can really recommend this hotel, thanks Derek ‘Imagine Dragons’!
