Dan River Chateau-In ground swimming pool great for hosting or relaxing

Nice Property was nice clean . Was excited about the pool reason why I went with this property but it was dirty and didn’t get to use it . But maybe next year I’ll rent it again around the same time . Thanks again

Nice place but.,.. First I booked this place based on the listing that it indicated it could sleep 10. I had 6 men that did not want to share a bed or room. However as the date approached I contacted the property owner/manager and she indicated it doesn’t sleep 10 and that is a mishap on behalf of Vrbo and she had no control over that. So we had to make do, by using blow up mattresses that we brought with us. The property is well maintained but really lacks amenities. The downstairs tv did not have a remote and had to call the property “IT” to find out how to work the tv. The upstairs tv either had to have a firestick or mirror your phone. At the prices that’s being charged this needs to either be stated in the property description or provide better functionality for your TV’s. I was told there were TV’s in all the bedrooms, that is incorrect. The third bedroom had a monitor in the closet with no cords. Very little cutlery in the kitchen, and kitchen was not well stocked at all. Had to go to Walmart to buy almost everything including ice. Outside grill had a gas grill with a cut gas’s line which I guess was the so called charcoal conversion. Grill was filthy. Water pressure in the hall bathroom has very little water pressure. Master bedroom closet had leftover slippers in the closet, so that makes you think if the property was properly cleaned and inspected when the last patron left. Very nice remodel but very little attention paid to the small details that a patron will need while traveling.

Wonderful hosts and property From the first communication the hosts were friendly, accommodating, and more than helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and more! The house was immaculately clean as was the pool and surrounding yard. The online pictures really do not do the pool justice. It was much bigger than expected and maintained very well. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when we return to Danville.

Quiet cul-de-sac We stayed at this property three nights while visiting for the races at Virginia International. The property was recently renovated tastefully with a nicely done entertainment area in the basement. The immediate cul-de-sac/neighborhood was quiet but the road headed into The River District left a bit to be desired (older/run down houses and businesses). The River District was mostly quiet with several hidden gems, specifically we enjoyed: Golden Leaf Bistro, Mucho Tacqueria, River District Social, Ballad Brewing, and Nana Karen's on Main. We attempted to go to Cotton at Riverside Mill but discovered we needed to make a reservation :) We would certainly stay at the location again and I will be curious to see what sort of impact on the area the Caesar's Virginia will have! One small detail is make sure you don't touch any of the buttons on the SimplySafe alarm pad inside the door, we may have set the alarm off on ourselves :) Both exterior doors lock automatically to the outside when you close them.

Clean and quiet, stress free stay Clean home in a quiet area and close to where we were spending the bulk of our time. Great communication with owners/managers. Would stay at again.
