Royal Davui Island Resort - Adults Only

首先我要感謝攜程的服務，非常好！非常人性化！所有的客服人員的服務態度都值得稱讚！ 服務：酒店會提前和客人郵件溝通，這個服務做到了。 但是這個酒店是我所有旅行中最差的體驗！ 首先，酒店不提供免費登島！最便宜的登島方式，坐3小時汽車到另一個港口乘坐快艇，270斐濟幣/人/單程。兩個人來回主島需要￥3500。這個價格要額外付款的！由於行程臨近而是行程時間內沒有其他更好的選擇，衹能無奈接受，而是還是更貴的方式。 另外通過官網可以看到住四晚免費登島的政策通過攜程預訂無論幾晚都無法免費登島（攜程酒店管家反饋） 然後就是讓人無語的行程了。我們需要在香港轉機，當我落地香港接到酒店電話，有熱帶氣旋接近斐濟，於是酒店決定不接待客人登島，還不提供主島的任何住宿幫助，何時能夠登島不確定！！我麪臨著落地斐濟沒有地方住而是還有颱風來襲的窘迫。最後在香港無奈決定返程。酒店衹給了一個保函文件讓我找旅行保險去挽回損失。他們沒有提供任何服務收了住宿費用和登島費用卻拒絕退款！！！這就是**酒店的可笑的邏輯！！！

What an absolutely phenomenal trip. Royal Davui Island Resort made this a fairytale vacation. We made so many memories here that we will remember for the rest of our lives. A picnic on a sand cay in the middle of an ocean, surrounded by mother nature and — hilariously — curious crabs. A sunset cruise where we all enjoyed ourselves so much and we both had deep thoughts about the state of the world and also detached from the world in the way you most hope to on a vacation. Hours upon hours at the pool, reading, writing, and thinking while sipping smoothies and cocktails like some movie. It really was a dream. The staff were absolutely next level: Lydia, David, Meme (both of them!), Ben, Sitari, Jacki, Mesui, Bill, Paul, Mela, La, Dee, and so many more. Things like helping with sea sickness, stocking us up on cookies, giving me a weighted blanket during a head facial, chatting about the flora and fauna, laughing and smiling through kava rounds, and just so much joy shared throughout. Also, they are all highly talented singers. I told Mesui that I could listen to him all day. Chill music while I worked. He is seriously talented. Really though, so many of them are. And the chefs! Wow. They are an incredible group. Royal Davui Island is a special place with very special people. It was an honor to spend a week there.

What an incredible resort!!! From the moment you get off the boat you feel welcomed and pampered. Food is amazing, staff is incredible, owners are so friendly and the island is beyond gorgeous with so much to do.. can’t wait to go back!! I can’t say enough incredible things, this place has set the bar for other vacations and will be hard to beat- Maya and Marc

The Royal Davui is an extremely special place. We stayed 7 nights for our honeymoon and our time spent there was incredible. Starting with the staff- hard to put into words how great the customer service is. We made friends with several of the staff and enjoyed getting to know them. They are great people who genuinely want you to have the best vacation possible. There are so many “small” things they do to surpass your expectations- remembering your name and order(s), the housekeeping and turn down service (you never/rarely see them but your room is always pristine when you return), and helping you build your dream itinerary based on your preferences. The grounds are beyond beautiful. You are submerged in nature so there were some lizard, snake, and bird sightings but nothing really bothered us except the mosquitoes. I recommend bringing some bug spray if mosquitos like you but they do keep some behind the bar they are happy to let you use. The food and drinks were top notch. I am a picky eater so I was worried with a limited pre fix menu but I was able to find something to eat at every meal. We never went hungry as they bring you starters, entrees and dessert. Pro tip- try to head to dinner an hour early to catch the sunset and they will often give you a little pre dinner snack. The cocktails were incredible! We were limited with our excursion options because my husband had recent, unexpected surgery. So we were pretty much land bound. We did the sand cay picnic (definitely recommend), the sunset cruise and a cooking class. I would pass on the cooking class personally just because it was more of a cooking demonstration versus a class but it was still nice. I definitely recommend taking advantage of the free activities they do on certain nights: crab races, cocktail tasting, kava night, etc. Because this beautiful island is remote, the transfers are something to keep in mind. We chose the small plane then boat ride option. I was expecting a small plane- this was a tiny plane! Just be aware if you are someone who doesn’t love flying already (like me). The flight was smooth and logistically they do a great job- just worth giving a heads up in my opinion because I was a little surprised. On the way back, we opted in for the boat and then drive back. It’s about 2.5 hours from pacific harbor to the airport and it was pretty enjoyable. You get to see a lot of the beautiful island and they drive you in a nice SUV. Our driver was lovely. We recently stayed in a sunset villa, and enjoyed a very memorable time! Traveling from Nadi International Airport to the private remote resort location was scenic via both small plane and speed boat. The resort location was perfect, and views from the villa were amazing. There are simply too many highlights to list, but key amongst them are the entire staff. They make the experience even more wonderful. If Fiji is on your list of destinations to visit, you simply must consider visiting the Royal Davui resort. We plan to journey to this place again, and highly recommend!!

We spent our honeymoon at Royal Davui, and it’s a beautiful resort. The reef is stunning, the villas are spacious and spotless, and the staff are some of the warmest, kindest people we’ve met while travelling. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable (and to patch up my husband, who kept injuring himself). Mela made our sunset cruises a highlight, and the pool, water sports, spa treatments, cocktails, and food were all solid. We appreciated how often they brought our dinner as room service and it was nice they let me borrow a yoga mat for the room. But. It felt like everyone else knew about the Costco package but us, which is an incredible deal, and also a bit frustrating when you’ve paid approximately $14,000 USD for a direct booking (not including flights, which Costco does include). If you do the Costco package, you’re getting amazing value for your money. If you don't, you may find yourself comparing notes and wondering if it's actually worth it. The main disappointment was the sand cay picnic. The website and reviews made it sound private, but no one mentioned it’s actually a public spot. So we were surprised when not one but two other boats pulled up during our picnic, bringing at least 15 extra people. We were left feeling awkward and... underdressed. It could’ve been avoided with one simple heads-up. While the resort did offer to rebook another picnic and eventually comped the excursion (not the drinks, though), it was handled in an odd way. They insisted that the sand bar is public and that they make sure not to advertise it as private. Sure — but they're also careful not to advertise it's public, everything implies it’s private, and many reviews describe it that way without being corrected. I didn’t come on my honeymoon to debate the semantics of marketing copy lol. I won’t list them all, but there were other small oversights that added up and aren’t expected at this price point: wrong coffee grounds in the room (and no replacement until the last day, so no in-room coffee most of the week); no one answered reception when we called early to ask about rescheduling the cay trip due to bad weather, which had been scheduled for 7:30am; and unclear or missing info on the village visit schedule, vegetarian menu, and the docile-but-still-venomous sea snake situation (there were too many for my comfort). Overall, it's a beautiful resort with a warm staff. It’s the kind of place where you’ll still have a good time because the people are so lovely, but you might walk away wondering if you got what you paid for. We had a great honeymoon, but I don't recommend booking directly.
