The hotel is ok - in general - but nothing more. A modern building in red and white with a glass front, rooms with sea view (across the roofs of first row buildings), entrance area with nice decorative items, an upstyled lounge/breakfast room... Carol gave us a nice welcome and was very helpful when we needed a taxi for dinner. We had to climb steep stairs to our rooftop suite on the second floor. It turned out to be an ordinary room with two shell chairs 60ies style, a bathroom (tub and separate shower) and an artificial turf terrace with two sun loungers. The room lacked style - low quality furniture, kitchy, cheap materials. I was disappointed... This is not a five-star lodge. Five stars means a bit more than a pompous breakfast room. It means luxury. I wonder how they could have been awarded such rating. We must have been the only guests for that night. Yet, their breakfast buffet (nicely prepared) was so enormous that it would have been enough to feed the place if it had been fully booked. I'm still wondering whether they are open for brunch for people from other guesthouses in the neighbourhood... Others may have had a more positive experience and there may be nicer rooms. But regrettably our stay had not been more than average.
