Deqin Meili GY Banshan Homestay

The hotel is located in a very nice area. Beautiful to see the sunrise on the mountain. The room has all the comforts however a lamp was broken, mirrors in the bathroom were damaged, so it needs some maintenance. The glass windows of the room were really dirty to look outside. The food was good and the owner/receptionist can speak a bit of English and he’s very kind. He will help you as much as he can. There’s a bar in the top floor but we went there at 20:00 after dinner and there was no staff so we went to the room. It’s maybe a bit overprice to be a homestay.

We arrived late at night and luckily the hotel still has dinner service we can order. Although its a pity we couldn't see Meili snow mountain during our stay due to bad weather, the hotel facilities itself is great, we had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the breakfast too. Just hope that the price can be kept more competitive as its on the steeper side.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended! This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in China. The room was incredibly spacious, and the hospitality from the reception team was outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. One of the highlights is the Wunongding Observation Deck, located right in front of the hotel — offering breathtaking views just steps from our door. The hotel also provides complimentary afternoon tea via room service, beautifully presented and served by a polite and gracious young lady, 达瓦取宗. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very pampered. In the evening, we enjoyed red wine and biscuits at the rooftop bar, where we had a delightful experience hosted by Mr. 唐浩东. The atmosphere, views, and service combined to create a memorable night. During check-out, my brother was feeling unwell due to the high altitude. A kind staff member named 挣白 prepared a special tea for us to help ease the symptoms. His thoughtfulness and care truly touched us and made a noticeable difference. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and warm. We felt cared for every moment of our stay. If we ever have the chance, we would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!

Deqin Meili GY Banshan Homestay truly lives up to its name - your HOME-STAY away from home. All the staff are like your long lost friends, who earnestly take care of this cozy establishment like their own home. During our stay all our needs have been promptly met and then some. Expectations exceeded and mind blown. A uniquely memorable experience leaving you feeling warm and fuzzy. Wholeheartedly recommend!! Thank you ZhenBai, Tang, the young lady & gentlemen at front desk and the friendly aunties who work tirelessly behind the scene, in the kitchen & housekeeping. Last but not least thank the owner for thoughtfully and artfully built the whole setup and deco as well as bringing together this wonderful crew.

Perfect location and friendly staffs. Perfect Meili Mountain View right from your room. If you don’t want to leave your room, you don’t have to the entire time you are there. Dinner is also very good. Good taste and presentation. Actually the best in the entire Shangri-La area.

love love love this hotel so much although it is one of the priciest stay. you are able to see the meili snow mountain in the morning with the sun rise and it was all worth it! rooms were very big and comfortable with oxygen tank
