Avis : Spinifex Hotel

作為汽車旅館，算是不錯的，尤其是有洗烘一體機，這對自駕旅行者來説真的太友好了。餐廳剛裝修過本來不錯，但有位男服務員態度不好，點餐時不耐煩，我們就沒在酒店餐廳吃了。

We had a two night stay here. Our first night was in a downstairs room where the toilet plumbing was leaking across the floor into the shower area, also causing an awful stench. The hairdryer was broken with exposed wiring and the lock safe didn’t work. After complaining to staff we were allocated a different (upstairs) room for our second night. The handles of both the kitchen sink and the shower fell off during use. The toilet cistern wouldn’t refill so we were unable to use the toilet. We would never stay here again!

Stayed 1 night before starting the Gibb Road Located in Derby, where there is a supermarket and service station You can watch a nice sunset at the jetty Motel style place, different types of room Room are a lot better than what you expect from the outside Friendly reception We had a spacious room, whit fridge, microwave and cooking was possible Even washing machine was present Room was silent a d clean Decent place for 1 night while traveling They have a restaurant, and the food was ok.

Well secured and excellent self contained apartments. Very clean and new. Bed was really comfortable. Nice bathroom and has a washer/dryer. Staff were very friendly. Went out of their way to help us when I had suffered a broken ankle. Provided a wheel chair for assisting me to our room and vehicle. Nice restaurant attached. Great food.

Just had an amazing stay at the Spinifex Hotel in Derby, WA. We are a family with young children and they’ve just installed a great playground outside. The place is spotless and offers all the amenities you could need. The food in the restaurant is absolutely first-class! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. If you're in the area, this is the place to stay!

This is really a very basic one night stop over place to stay. The staff seem to try hard but it’s the many little things that let the whole experience down. We were given a room - we had paid for it some 2 months prior - paid when booked. The check in procedure took 15 minutes as all seemed to be dis coordinated at reception. Our room was let’s say interesting. The pillows had black hairs on them allegedly from the cleaner but BOTH PILLOWS. So we were given a complimentary drink and another room. There is a lot in these rooms, kettle, microwave, cook top, washing machine, toaster. The bed is a very basic alleged queen size that shakes and rolls when you turn over. There is secure parking and it was noted there were a lot of contract workers staying in small units at the front. The tv reception in the rooms is really non existent and staff acknowledged that this was the case. ABC was all you got. The wifi was good though. The food in the restaurant- there is nowhere else to eat close by - is good but so expensive as is the alcohol. We wanted poached eggs on muffins instead of on sour dough for breakfast and they charged us another $3.00 per meal for the muffins. The guy who appeared to be running the whole show was accommodating and quite nice and surely did not deserve to be in charge of a place like this. We could not wait to leave.

There is little to detain even the most inquisitive traveller at Derby which is the frontier settlement at the western end of the Gibb River Road so a night is as much as you’re likely to spend here and the Spinifex is up to the task. The good: our guest room (one queen + one single bed) was clean, spacious, relatively quiet and reasonably comfortable. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean and were each able to find a pillow we liked. The bathroom was of adequate size and the plumbing mostly worked OK. The included Wifi worked well on all our devices. Meals taken in the main hotel were wholesome and tasty and the service staff were efficient and attentive. The not so good: the Spinifex assuredly offers Derby’s premium lodgings, but they are still more serviceable than desirable. Architecturally speaking, the guest rooms have more in common with a shipping container than traditional hotel or motel rooms and the décor could best be described as spartan. The hot water from the shower in our room suffered from some unpredictable and uncomfortable temperature fluctuations if used during the evening or morning rush hours and the bathroom lighting was adequate for everything except shaving or, I assume, making up.

Nice pub but as far as accommodation goes it's not quite a 2 star. After walking through workers dongas we finally found our room.Horrible bed with a mattress that had seen better days as had the pillows. Winter sheets instead of nice crisp white linen, filthy carpet and blinds that looked like a child had been climbing on. Meals quite nice and the beer was cold but find somewhere else to stay.

Our stay at the Spinifex was okay. The pub was nice for a meal, although seeing two smashed in glass doors was a bit unnerving. The hallway to the motel room was very dark but once inside the room was modern and clean. My gripe is that I prepaid through booking,com and was charged again by the hotel. After numerous phone calls, and emails from myself and booking,com they will not refund my overpayment. Won’t stay again.

The room was well equipped (set up to be lived in) with cooktop, washing machine and lots of storage, but we didn't need any of those. The shower had a big shower head and plenty of toiletries were provided. The single bed (the room was booked as a twin) only had a sheet on it plus a very heavy bedspread. There were no blankets in the cupboard and windows couldn't be opened. We stayed at this motel as part of a group. The restaurant was incredibly slow with dinner (which had been pre-ordered at lunchtime). Breakfast wasn't much better although this was serve-yourself. The once hot food was brought out into the bain-marie, there were no plates available. Likewise, cereal packets were out, but no bowls.

We had a terrific stay at the Spinifex Hotel. We had booked two studio apartments and were pleasantly surprised at how modern and well equipped our rooms were, and were particularly thrilled to find a washing machine/dryer in them. The only thing we were disappointed with was being charged $37 for 4 toasted sandwiches (a price determined by the chef, who I felt really took advantage of us). But, overall this was a great place to spend a couple of nights and I would definitely stay here again.

Checking in here was very easy, and the staff very friendly. The room was much larger than expected, very clean, and with a small stove.Laundry facilities there too. Large, well appointed bathroom.We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant- both delicious meals, esp the granola!

Our room was clean and tidy, with a balcony and table and chairs. Bonus was washer and dryer in the room. Meals were very good and staff in dining room friendly. Had a nice meal at Neaps Bistro across road, lovely setting and great service.

Driving up to the hotel you are able to park right outside Reception. Effortless check in experience, very friendly manager. Enter the secure gated parking, an absolute game changer in Derby. Room facilities were extremely good, clean, spacious with best bathroom including a washer/dryer and rain head shower. Little balcony with comfy chairs and a short walk to the restaurant made life very easy.
