Padraicins B&B

Had fish and chips, the fish looked like it was not fresh, the side salad was limp, not fresh at all not a good experience, would not go back there again

Just returned from one of the best stays we have encountered in Ireland. Padraicins is located in Furbo, County Connemara, east of Galway city. The location is fantastic, with a lovely beach over looking Galway Bay and the mountains of County Clare. We stayed for four nights in room 8, a family room with two double beds, the views over the bay and beach from the windows was great. Room was very clean, very spacious, beds were very comfortable, tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits were provided. Room was serviced every day. The public bar, Lounge and restaurant were spotlessly clean, staff were very efficient, great service and friendly. The Breakfast was second to none, delicious fully cooked Irish breakfast and plenty of other options. On the subject of food we ate for three of our four nights in the restaurant, the menu was very extensive, food was home cooked, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, once again as said before staff very efficient, great service and friendly. The location is ideal for touring Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, etc and of course Galway, which is about 20 minutes drive away. If you wish you can catch the 424 bus to Galway, 4 euro single or 7 return, Taxi fare is about 25 to 30 euros each way to Galway. Don't forget to ask any member of staff, who are more than helpful with information, about local area and anything else you might need to know. All in all this is a gem of a place to stay on all aspects, highly recommended and not to be missed, we will certainly be staying and dining here again.

Beautiful spot on the coast just a 10 minute drive from center of Galway. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the views were just lovely. We enjoyed the food, drink, and stay after a long day of driving.

Although located in a beautiful spot, our experience at this B&B was simply awful. The room was very stuffy when we arrived and the owners had permanently screwed all the windows shut so there was no way to get any fresh air into the room. (As all rooms were on the second floor, I cannot imagine why the windows were screwed shut.) A rather pathetic electrical fan was provided but all it did was blow the hot stale air around. I soaked my hair in hopes of cooling off enough to sleep, but even that did little to help and I didn’t sleep at all that night. Equally disappointing was the breakfast that was included. Sugary cereals and withered fruit was on offer. In terms of cooked items, the food was tasteless. The eggs were water-logged, the tomatoes and mushrooms were very bland, and the toast was hard as a rock. We stayed in 12 different B&B’s during our trip. This was by far the absolute worst. Avoid this establishment.

Padraicin B&B a circa 20 min in auto da Galway. Gentile la gestione molto indaffarata con il sottostante ristorante che chiude per le 21 e non disturba le stanze. Abbiamo avuto la “stanza vista mare”, molto comoda. Il panorama risulta tra la strada e il mare, ma piacevole poiché il mare si vede sdraiati sul letto. Buona biancheria, Bella spiaggia sottostante si può fare il bagno! Colazione nel ristorante con menù a scelta, dalla tradizionale al salmone affumicato. Ottimo soggiorno ad un prezzo onesto! Se dovete cenare meglio riservare per tempo. Consigliato!

Ottimo B&B posizionato al piano superiore del ristorante; stanze ampie, pulite, ottima visuale e dotate di molti comfort (asciugacapelli, bollitore, ecc). Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Ampio parcheggio a disposizione degli ospiti. La buona colazione viene servita nel ristorante dalle 8.30 alle 10.30 nella sala del ristorante. Ottimo anche il loro ristorante
