Getaways at Destin Holiday Beach Resort

Overall good experience. Internet is sporadic. So are the beach chairs. Rooms are nice. Closer to a condo than a hotel room. Easy walk to lots of stuff. However, the malls and such require a drive. Free beverages in the lobby. Enjoyable stay.

This is a great place on the beach,rooms are a little older, but I don't stay in the room ( but it is very clean and NO bugs ) GREAT GREAT LOCATIONS

This resort is one that caters to vacationing families and middle aged to older folks. In the month of March, it is a very big deal knowing that there is a great resort is better suited for people like myself. Therefore, that means that people like myself can rest easier knowing that we can stay at the resort and enjoy our vacations without having to deal with college spring breakers. I do want to note that when reading previous reviews, I saw some talk about the age of the resort. Me personally, I knew that this is one of the older resorts in the area but they have done a very good job maintaining it and have clearly remodeled it over the years. Yes much of the furniture is not brand new but it has been maintained very well over the years which to me is more important than how new the furniture is. Therefore, the resort has ensured that it is still a great place to stay at regardless of how long it has been since it opened. Overall, it would be nice if the resort could do something in a future remodel to ensure that units are better insulated from the noise from heavy winds. I also wish it would be possible for them to increase the size of the shower in the main bathroom in the units but due to the nature of the unit, it is likely not possible. That being said, neither of those things are deal breakers and if I decide to go back to Destin at some point, this resort would be up towards the top of my list in terms of places where I would want to stay at.

Large rooms and an elevator for us old ladies to get up to our room on the 5th floor...which by the way had a spectacular view of the beach with out competing with the high rises on either side of us. The water the bluest ever and the sand white as sugar. The pool was warm and the hot tub so relaxing...we did eat at the free meals offered like hotdogs and the breakfast, but we did miss a few. Perfect location for a lovely week and the place was lovely with cozy beds and couches and plenty of room.

Old dated. Not kept up, dirty, cockroaches, Beautiful location. Laundry lady Elisa was amazing. Pots and pans unusable. Scratched teflon! Ice machine in lobby ready for legioners disease! Male manager very unfriendly. Coffe maker had black mould inside.

This has been the worst vacation I’ve ever been on. I have a nine-year-old son that can’t even sleep because he is so uncomfortable it’s 89° in our hotel room. He’s so uncomfortable that he wants to go home early. Very disappointed this should never happen to anybody. The resort got portable AC units for the front office but they didn’t want to get portable AC units for the rooms. For how much money I paid they should want to keep us happy so we would want to come back. I don’t feel that they have fulfilled there agreement. They gave us an option to leave but we had 3 days left and we couldn’t find anything on the beach in our budget. I spent 1900$ to have a good time and this has been the worst experience and worst vacation I have ever had. The room was dirty the pool was dirty when we checked in there was hair all over the bathroom and sand all over the room. We had to clean the room ourselves to feel comfortable. I wonder if they even cleaned the room at all. Also the room is very out dated.I can’t believe the way they have treated their guest. Very upset, disappointed, and feel disrespected. My recommendation would be that you stay as far away as you can from the Destin Holiday Beach Resort and don’t waste your time or money on this dump unless you want to have a horrible time.
