Even though thr were mixed reviews, I went ahead with the booking considering the brand. Le ROI have many properties which are good but this was really disappointing. I missed to take the pic of the hotel face facing the road, it actually looked abandoned. I then have to look for the actual entry side which was decent with ample parking space. No helping hands for luggage even though I was with kids. They were more concerned to ask to move the car to parking location. As soon as I entered the hotel, the damp fungus smell was dominating. The checkin process was too slow with just one person at the counter and making 5 families wait. I was surprised to know how inconsistent the website details of room and actuals were. I booked 2 rooms, 1 deluxe and another deluxe with jagannath temple view, both with king bed. But during check in I was told the room left with jagannath temple view don't have king bed!! Also the website mentioned the jagannath temple facing room sizes to be bigger and even the pictures showed them to be large but actuals were disappointing. The washroom were little small and could have been cleaner. Beds were OK. The worst part, the view of temple from balcony is dismal, no direct view rather have to bend on a side to have a look. Avoid getting lured for it (i guess only the last corner room have a proper view). The corridor were dirty, not sure why were they not vacuum cleaned. The room service unsatisfactory, asked for bottle of water at 10pm but was told as restaurant is closed so can't provide bottled water, saw first hotel which is dependent on restaurant for water bottle instead of room service warehouse. The rooms were mostly sound proof, even though railway station was near by no sound disturbance observed. The hotel is not centrally cooled, corridors were very warm & humid. Rooms had AC installed, which took time to provide desired cooling even though some best brands were used, which indicates lack of maintenance here also. The plan that I took included Bfast but thr was no buffet option, had to place order. Was expecting buffet specially when hotel is well occupied. We had lunch & Bfast here, both were good. The aalu parathas were bit thick without proper filling, rest items were good. I would rate the restaurant staff the best and more concerned towards guests. Did thr best given the limitations. We had a driver with us, it took immense time to get him a dormitory room for him. The dormitory were without ac. The only major plus point of the hotel is it's location, just besides Jagannath temple and near the Digha railway station. Beach is also not far, but 15 min walk. To make things worse, the checkout process and initiation of it was equally bad. As per reservation email, check was 1pm and checkout 11am. I got a call at 10.30 for check out and forcing to vacate room telling guests were waiting, how is that possible!! Even worst of hotels gives 30min extra, so I could checkout at 11.30 am easily (not even c
