I've just had the most pleasurable 7 nights at this beautiful former Manse on the shore of Cromarty Firth. From the moment I arrived until I checked out this morning, everything about my stay was just about spot on perfect. The location is a dream, with the foreshore of the Firth literally a few steps from the front door. I was allocated to room 4, a single room with a large and comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space and a small but very adequate bathroom. The guest house has its own wi-fi, there is a TV in the room as well as a much larger one in the guest Lounge downstairs. Ed, the manager, could not do enough to assist during my stay. Breakfast is taken in the lovely conservatory offering a wide choice of cereals, cooked breakfasts, breads, fruit and preserves. Evanton village is a short drive away, or a 25 minute walk which is pleasant in itself. There are also walks to be had along the foreshore of the Firth, the nearby ruined Church is very atmospheric. I cannot fault this place nor praise it highly enough. A real gem of peace and tranquility. I warn you; you will want to come back.
