Most friendly local patrons and most helpful to tourists in giving advice to travel in and around Rhayader itself. Food was outstandingly delicious and seriously plentiful. food and drinks are well priced. Rhayader has many pubs and restaurants to visit and enjoy local well being. The water reservoirs in Elan Valley are really worth visiting and has superb scenery. There is very quaint little church to visit too.

Went for an anniversary meal , Lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly, helpful staff , good generous portions. Not overpriced The biscoff cheesecake was amazing I’d like to go just for a coffee and another piece of it 😀, very busy need to book . Will be going again

Lovely town centre pub with cosy atmosphere. Didn’t have a room but called in for drinks and a meal. We do make it a regular call when in Rhayader for the Welsh show week .The meal was delicious and the service prompt. The staff work so hard A good selection of beers etc to choose from.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as my company paid for this, the room itself was clean with a few issues q was the mould on the celling and the paper thin walls so I could hear everything my neighbour was doing in their room at about 06:00 my neighbour woke and at about 06:30 left their room all could be heard from my room but the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming unfortunately as the kitchen was closed I had to eat in a pub nearby I was amazed at the fact the front door was left open all night as crime in the area was zero or as a the barman stated was a minus figure but after all this I would stay again as the staff were great if the staff were not as great as they were this hotel would have been a average hotel

Visited for Sunday lunch on our first full day of holiday. Staff seemed very friendly. We ordered 6 roasts and 1 children’s meal. Asked if some of the veg could be left off 2 of the plates as knew wouldn’t be eaten and would go to waste. We were told they could t do this but could put the veg on a side plate ???? The beef was extremely chewy. One of our party nearly broke a tooth on a potato they hadn’t been peeled properly and the rest of the potatoes were hard. It’s a shame as we were planning on going back there for my twin daughters birthday on the Wednesday. We went somewhere else and had an amazing meal there

Visited hear with my husband and two children, this place was a last minute booking for Fathers Day and we loved it. The food was well presented, well cooked to high standards and great timing. All the staff were polite and kind and even interacted with our children. If we lived closer we would definitely return. Highly recomend the food :)
