Best thing about this hotel is the super friendly staff, they all make you feel really welcome. There's a huge car park which is free about 30m down the road. The menu is really nice and varied with a good selection and priced well for the quality. Drinks prices are a little on the high side but we are down the road from Gatwick here. There is a lovely, spacious beer garden to sit out in and the seating is nicely spread out. It's an old, old building and this is reflected in the decor so if you want a sterile run of the mill chain probably don't come here. I quite like it, the decor matches the building really and yes there's a few cracks in the walls and stuff in the rooms but they are clean and comfortable with good mattresses. I was in Room 3, a twin :) and found the WiFi to be a bit sketchy, managed to stream on the Firestick, just, but it was a bit slow and struggled at times, 4/5G isn't the best either so might be a consideration for you. Overall an enjoyable night in a friendly, traditional pub.
