St Andrews Town Hotel

Terrible noise from pipes. Moved me to a new room at 1am Problem persisted and we left around 2am. I was told I'd be contacted for a refund. Ive had no contact atal after a full week despite my reviews elsewhere and an email I sent them Would take down negative reviews if they were to honour this

95 it cost to stay in a slum,cigarette buts greeted us building looked derelict outside,room dirty carpet not hoovered,no carpet on stairways,kitchen filthy no floor covering in kitchen all broken up breakfast absolutely low standard,sausage slimy all dried up coffee lousy and service with bad attitude asked if we could have juice in cups as no glasses place needs closing down health and safety need to pay a visit not safe work needed or condemned disgusting..

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but the decor is beautiful, matching the charm of the hotel. I originally booked a small solo room, which was cozy and perfect for me, upon going into the bathroom there was an incredible amount of mould it made me very uncomfortable, in every single tile and along the ceiling, I let the staff know and they apologised and put me into another small room, this one was the same, even more mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, and mould on the netting of the window right next to the bed. This made me even more uncomfortable as there was mould right next to where I would sleep. I let the staff know again and was upgraded to another room, I did a quick sweep of the room as anyone would and was let down by the cleanliness, there was bits of food on the nightstand, dirt marks on the end of the bed, dust on lamps, again the decor was fantastic, just let down massively by the cleanliness.

Stayed one night last week, and two nights this week. Can't fault the place. The taff are friendly and very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is undergoing a refurbishment to a good standard. Very good value for money.

The manageress Olivia was absolutely superb 👌 went over and above to ensure we were happy, outstanding customer service. Modern, comfortable rooms, unbelievable value for money. Didn’t eat in restaurant but Bar area warm and welcoming. Would stay again.

The photographs online are not a true reflection of what the hotel looks like. The beautiful ivy that encompassed the building is none existent. Parts of the hotel look unkempt and run down, there is a scaffolding around part of the building which is an eye sore. The breakfast was included in the price and it was very nice, the vegetarian sausages were delicious. The service was good, the receptionist was friendly, professional and she managed to find a cot for my Son. I personally wouldn't stay here again as the hotel requires some TLC as its very tired and old in places.
