I had to cancel the whole trip to Croatia due to some working issues. It was really unhappy and I tried to contact the hotel through trip.com whether i can have a refund due to my unfortunate experience of travelling caused by work. The hotel was unreachable and unresponsive at the first time. Then, I tried to send an email regarding my condition and the request to the reservation team. They replied that they were not possible to make changes or decisions on reservations through agencies. So, I tried to explain the situation through trip.com again. I can finally get a response at the third time of approach, but it was disappointing.
Due to unavoidable work commitments, I had to request a cancellation, expecting understanding and flexibility. However, I was informed that my request for cancellation and refund was declined, with no alternative solution offered. This has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, as I believe my situation warranted consideration.
I understand that policies are in place, but as someone who highly values the hotel services, I had hoped for a more accommodating approach, such as offering:
1. A partial refund.
2. Changing the reservation dates.
3. A credit or voucher for future use.
The lack of any alternative solution feels unreasonable and dismissive of genuine. I hope the hotel can consider my suggestions and the people who have the same problems with me in the future could be offered a better and reasonable solutions under unfortunate circumstances without any frustration and anxiety.
