Southern Grampians Cottages

From the moment you arrive you feel right at home in these cosy cottages. Squeaky clean, super comfortable and supplied with every amenity you could possibly need in every area in the house, including the kitchen. Every detail has been carefully thought through in order to provide the best experience..The fireplace is inviting and plenty of wood and kindling provided. Close to some beautiful walks and hikes. And amazing restaurants right in the small town of Dunkeld. My husband and I can’t wait to come back and explore some more! Definitely will be staying again!

Our cottage was great for a family of 4 and we were really impressed with the soft, warm furnishings. The caretaker was so friendly and helpful. Well stocked with dishes etc Weber was a bonus. Every day we were treated to kangaroos and wallabies with their joeys at the front of the cabin. Close to town (walkable) and to many other things. Would stay again!

I sometimes work in the area and often have the opportunity to stay at the Southern Grampians Cottages. The cottages are fully self contained and have everything for a very comfortable stay. The location is very quiet and peaceful, great for a good night's sleep. The Cottages are set in a great native garden and are a pleasure to just sit and watch nature play. Its easy to book on line and staff are always helpful and very pleasant. I would highly recommend for anyway wishing to have a quite relaxed place to stay, surrounded by much natural beauty and significant landscapes and also access to great quality food and shops,just down the road.

The cottage is cozy and the location is quiet. The bed was super comfortable. We brought groceries and were able with the basics provided by the establishment to eat all of our meals at the cottage or on the road. This was especially nice after running into hoards of families with small children while hiking the Pinnacle route. The TV had working Netflix which was a bonus. The spa tub was fantastic and there was plenty of hot water to fill it. The grill worked perfectly and the outdoor space was very nice. The fireplace was the icing on top. We were provided with firewood and kindling each day of our stay. The two hikes close by were beautiful and private. We were completely alone which made it even more special. There’s tons of Kangaroos and Emu about a quarter of a mile walk down the road from the cottage.

Southern Grampians cottages are a cosy home away from home whilst exploring the southern Grampians region. Communication was timely and personalised. The caretaker is a wonderful source of local information about walks, areas of interest and places to eat. The well appointed, self contained cottages are scrupulously clean, decorated to celebrate the natural Australian environment and the little extra touches such as the fire place being set, ready to light, the gorgeous little Australian animal chocolates and native flower arrangement were lovely surprises that made you feel welcome. The beautiful gardens are peaceful and assist in helping you relax. It is close to both Mt Sturgeon, Mt Abrupt and the Piccaninny walks. It was a lovely stay and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful place.

Sitting on your own private patio, looking at a magnificent ancient gum tree in the foreground and Mt Abrupt in the background is pretty hard to beat! The cabin is very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Our extended family went for the weekend and we loved the cottages they were thoughtfully and thoroughly fitted out, a great spot walking distance to everything in Dunkeld. Impeccably clean. We will be back! Loved our weekend. Thank you

Beautiful little cottage. Great surroundings and gardens around cottages very pretty and well maintained. Lovely having the wood Hester made it so warm and cosy and enough wood always supplied. Bed was comfy.
