Rhino Post Safari Lodge

Our family was looking for a safari experience somewhere between ultra luxury and self catering/driving (not many options). I'm so glad we found Rhino Post! The highlight of course is viewing the animals. We saw a pride of lions, elephant, zebra, leopard, hyena, hippo...too many to name here. Watching the elephants wander into camp was so beautiful. I could sit in that deck forever. The staff make this place shine. Our game driver, Sorta, was so knowledgeable and contientios of her guests comfort and likes. Crystal and the chef and other kitchen staff are great. The food is so good, we ate so much! I don't know how they made a tented room so nice, but the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Remember, it's a tent, you're going to hear animals and feel the outside temperature! Game drive days are long and coming back to a hot bath in the morning or time by the fire in the evening is just perfect. Everything was so great from the moment we arrived. What can be better than sunrise coffee and sunset G&T watching? We will remember this trip forever and hope to return.

incredible stay from start to finish, place stunning, staff sooooo friendly, food amazing, i could go on and on praising Rhino Post Safari Lodge, a must stay if you decide to go to Kruger. Our Guide was exceptional, so professional but so friendly and fun. We as a family had the best time ever, a holiday to remember forever.

The Lodge is a very private place with an excellent service and an absolutely stunning friendliness of the entire team - always iand everyone n a good mood.

Location and service quality was excellent. Food was reasonable. Part of the Kruger in a private concession gives you the best game viewing opportunities.

I spent 5 amazing days at the Rhino Post. The top highlight was our guide, Mr Amend, who has exceptional knowledge of the fauna and flora of the park. The lodge is beautiful and staff and service were exceptional! The food quality and options were excellent too! If want to see Big 5 in one or two days, this is the place to go, Amend will find the animals for you and you will learn a ton about birds, plants and reptiles too. There was never a dull moment on our game rides. Staff in the lodge went above and beyond for us with the attention to every detail. Crystal, Precious (great massage therapist), James and others made our stay a great experience! The pictures on the app and website are accurately showing how this lodge looks like. The suites are perfectly located to see animals coming to the lodge, yet you will have lots of privacy. I highly recommend this lodge to everyone!!

We stayed a week at Rhino post. We were welcomed with open arms. The the driver, staff and guides were always very friendly and accommodating. I fast everyday until noon, and the staff delayed my morning brunch for me. The menu offerered different courses each night and each was tasty. They go over and beyond to make your trip wonderful. The suites were spacious, clean, and had Amazing views. The were cleaned every morning and they provided turndown service each night. I must give our safari guide his own review. If you go on the safari ride and don't get Amend, then you are missing out. Amend was super friendly, knowledgeable, and always had high energy. He was more than happy to stop and take photos for us. In our 5 days, we spotted the big five on several occasions, but he showed us SO much more. He pointed out local flora and fauna, medicinal and pratical uses, and he was a wealth of knowledge. We left there feeling like we mad a friend. I must also thank Precious for the amazing, in room massage! Last but definitely not least Crystal went out of her way for us, she was like our personal concierge and even took the time to braid my hair. I would recommend Rhino post to anyone and everyone!

We were warmly welcomed at the Rhino Post Safari Lodge and 4 days later bid farewell like friends. Our stay at the lodge was wonderful. The team is warm, friendly and helpful and there is a very welcoming, almost family-like atmosphere at the lodge. The guest houses are well & nicely equipped and practical little things, such as warming rain ponchos (which we often needed), were also been thought of. There are coffee and tea making facilities in the guest houses, mosquito spray, umbrellas, minibar, bathtub, mosquito net, water from tap, with gas and/or chilled is always available ... we didn’t miss anything! Our dinners were very tasty. You can choose from 3 different dishes – with always one vegetarian option. Dinners are served in game drive groups and the guide also attends, which gives the day a nice roundup. And of course, the location of the Rhino Post Safari Lodge in the middle of the Kruger National Park, is outstanding. The beauty and special features of nature appear inexhaustible. Thanks to Privy, our guide, we saw a lot of different animals and learned a lot! She is a great guide, she explained so much to us and answered every question. Every game drive was different and a highlight! Privy listened to our wishes, but also took our worries and concerns into account on every safari drive. I always felt save with her as our “team chef”! We couldn't have wished for a better guide! Our entire stay at Rhino Post was great! A big THANK YOU to the whole team for the work you do and your warmth! We enjoyed being your guests, it was an unforgettable time!

When we include a safari trip in our South African itinerary, we usually stay one night in Kruger and one night in a private game reserve. For us, this is the ideal combination : Kruger always allows us to see a broad range of animals, while a lodge in a private game reserve will usually focus on specific animals (such as 'the big 5...). In our opinion, this is a great combination for a safari trip. This year, we choose Rhino Post in Kruger and Elephant Plains in Sabi Sand. RP delivered exactly what we were hoping for : James took us on an afternoon and morning game drive and we saw lots of animals including a family of around 10 lions, a sable antilope (very rare), a secretary bird and many many others.... RP had 2 vehicles (with around 8 to 10 people each) - no tracker, but James and his colleague in the other car were keeping each other posted on sightings. We were very happy with the game drives... The lodge itself is truly great as well : what was new for us, was the experience of staying in an open camp. Upon arrival, we went to our room and saw 2 elephants right in front of our terrace. So cool, so amazing.... the next morning a herd of elephants was passing through the dry river bedding as well. Fantastic ! Food was very good - a bit more gastronomic even then other lodges we stayed at. Rooms were very very comfortable and cozy as well. All in all, a great experience and totally recommended !
