Elliston Waterloo Bay Tourist Park

We stayed in a cabin (C20) with a "sea view", a bit of a stretch but yes you could see the ocean. The cabin is a bit tired, internal security door latch not working, (couldn't lock screen at all) with leaking kitchen tap spilling over the bench top dirty curtains. The bath room is very small and probably needs a little more attention in the cleaning department. Bed was comfortable but made the room very cramped and had to shuffle sideways to get out of bedroom. Ceiling fans very dirty. Some utensils were missing. Only minor issues in the scheme of things, but paid a premium fee. On arrival no " welcome to our park etc..." and upon leaving no question until I prompted about the quality of our stay. It was basic accommodation, pleasant enough, would I stay there again, probably not, would I recommend the cabin accommodation, probably not. We stayed 5 nights

Toilet and shower facilities are very unclean and appear not to have been cleaned for two days. We have actually mopped the facility floors now several times given the unclean state , including toilet paper strewn across the floors. Women’s toilets actually ran out of toilet paper today. Office lights stated reception open but had to use intercom button outside of reception to get paper sorted. Rubbish bins are full and not been emptied today. Laundry has one machine not working and a 2nd that seems to just take your coin and also not working.

We drove into Elliston to stay a couple of nights & rang this park to see if they had a powered site available. The response we got was incredibly rude & impatient. We were even told to hurry up and make a decision on how many nights we wanted to stay. We were also told in the same manner to not just rock up later & expect a site because they may potentially fill up. We decided to keep driving & stayed at the other caravan park instead. We completely understand that this is a busy time for the region, however this level of rudeness is never acceptable at any time when dealing with a potential customer. While we didn’t stay here we hope this review will improve management’s attitude towards tourists who bring money into their town.
