"Great service all round. Clean, spacious good quality rooms, good breakfast and service with a smile. Breakfast is included in the price and comes along with a complementary minibar with soft drinks and beer, including coffee and tea. Very comfortable beds. The only thing I missed in the room was an iron for a creased shirt (I didn't ask, but maybe they have one at reception). The dining area is spacious yet has a cosy feel. There is a terrace by the waterfront and although I didn't use them, there is a gym and sauna in the basement. Close to Emden centre, parking is free for guests (subject to availability) and there is disabled access throughout the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within 10 minutes walk from the hotel The price seems quite high, but it is reasonable value for money, taking into account the high standard of service, and of course the complimentary breakfast, minibar and parking."

"Excellent and very high quality conversion of old army barracks into quirky apartment hotel. Would have been 5/5 but for a major glitch when checking in. This may have been due to us booking less than 2 hours before arrival. It is a self check in and it took an out of phone calls before we got access. However, room was very comfortable and well equipped. Small kitchenette was ideal for our needs. Secure basement storage for bicycles."

""A real gem in Emden! Hotel Faldernpoort exceeds all expectations. The location is just perfect - quiet enough to relax, yet only a short 15-minute walk from the bustling city center. The beautifully renovated rooms exude elegance and provide the ideal retreat after a busy day. The service is an absolute highlight of this hotel. The reception is manned around the clock and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The in-house restaurant serves delicious food until late in the evening. The variety and quality of the food is simply outstanding. The breakfast buffet is a real feast for the palate. From freshly baked goods to a wide selection of hot and cold dishes - there is something for every taste. And the cleanliness throughout the hotel also deserves the highest praise. Overall, I can recommend Hotel Faldernpoort without reservation. A place where hospitality, comfort and enjoyment are combined at the highest level. I'm already looking forward to returning here again soon!""

"To start with, an excellent location, within walking distance of the centre. The hotel has 2 parking spaces: 1 at the hotel and 1 across the street. These are free for overnight guests. The hotel does not have a restaurant (but it does have an excellent breakfast buffet at a very reasonable rate!). There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, but there are plenty of dining options within a fifteen-minute walk. I thought the room was excellent. Good mattress, safe, minibar (free soft drinks and beer). There was also little wrong with the bathroom. In fact: finally a hotel where the placement of the (very good) shaving mirror and the toilet roll holder has been carefully considered. Attention to detail!. The reception staff are helpful. Also pleasant was the option to check in or out early or late for a very reasonable fee. In short, an excellent stay!"

"Nous avons visité l'hôtel en 2019 (sous le vieux propriétaire) et en août 2023. Quiconque attend un hôtel moderne ici est déçu. Non, cet hôtel vous devez visiter si vous cherchez autre chose. L'hôtel est situé dans un ancien bâtiment du temps prussien. Vous pouvez voir ce magnifique ancien bâtiment restauré même si vous arrivez (parking directement à la maison). Lors de l'entrée, vous remarquerez immédiatement qu'il y a un charme spécial de l'histoire qui est enseigné. L'hôtel dispose d'un total de 20 chambres de taille et d'équipements différents. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur ici, mais d'une grande échelle. Nous avons eu la chambre 28 au premier étage, à la fin du hall. Avec un salon/garde, vous entrez dans la chambre (par une porte supplémentaire). La chambre est divisée en chambre avec lit et un étui avec une grande cuisse en cuir, un petit bureau avec petit réfrigérateur et une petite cafetière. Derrière elle est la salle de bain. Tout est en bon état à très bon état et propre. Le petit déjeuner offert est conforme à la norme normale. Le personnel de l'hôtel est gentil et toujours prêt à l'aide. En conclusion: Lorsque nous reviendrons à Emden, nous rejoindrons cet hôtel."

"Quelques minutes à pied du centre, ce qui n'est pas défavorable. équipements généralement bons, chambres et surtout salle de bains devraient être un peu lumineuses. Le petit déjeuner durable sans portions emballées convaincre. Le service dans la chambre et le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus attentif (comme on peut le faire en détail, il pourrait être mieux que dans un proche avenir). Le cappuccino était bon, le gâteau n'était pas si bon, donc nous ne l'avons pas pris le deuxième jour. Mais un couple à la table voisine l'a saluté ce jour-là. Nous avions réservé la chambre au prix spécial. D'accord."

"L'hôtel à l'adler d'or est un hôtel très bien géré et solide. Nous avons été très aimables, la chambre était propre et moderne. Notre petit chien était également bienvenu. Nous n'avons rien manqué pour un séjour, mais si nous étions longtemps, nous manquions une possibilité de nous asseoir plus confortablement en dehors du lit et un garde-robe. Le petit-déjeuner buffet était très vaste et ne l'a pas lu, même le saumon et les mattis y étaient. Il a été proposé de préparer des oeufs frais. Le personnel de service est tout à fait amical et très professionnel. Le soir de notre arrivée, nous avons mangé au restaurant. Les repas étaient frais et très bons. Le restaurant était très visité, donc il était un peu bruyant et agréable, car les tables sont très étroites. Mais nous étions très satisfaits et nous choisirions l'hôtel à Emden."

"I was there for 2 nights only and chose this hotel for location and price, the Wifi is good, breakfast is always included and of very high quality, too much to eat everything even. The parking is free for all guests (very satisfied with that as most hotels now also charge extra fees for parking!) Rooms are a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. Very good overall service for a pretty low price. It is also conveniently located next to the ferries to the islands."
