Went for a meal at the Carvery. The food was tasty, simple and filling. Th highlight of the visit was excellent Service from Levi and K. Really made the visit with a wriggly toddler a manageable experience. Nothing was to much trouble and plenty of smiles.

I loved it here it was perfect for what we wanted , which was a stop over before an early flight from Exeter airport we got our room at an excellent price, the staff were really lovely, we had a carvery in the restaurant which was amazing, simply amazing, our room here is lovely it's tastefully decorated it's just really nice location and we will not think twice about coming here again.

Noisy room opposite the reception, it was a disabled room. We didn't ask for this, hence when we had a shower the whole bathroom floor was wet. We had a carvery which was quite overcooked, had to wait to order a sweet but, as they didn't come back, we didn't bother. The receptionist also worked in the bar and restaurant. Unprofessionally dressed and almost knocked into my husband when going behind the bar. Will not be staying here again.

Great location. Parking. Nice room amazing carvery served up by simon.with a good choice of meats and the best onion gravy ever. The service was great and the staff friendly and polite. Good prices . Value for money. Ideal place to stay for work just off the motorway. Will stay again

Run down rooms, mouldy, smelly bathroom, breakfast not included and was luke warm, not particularly cheap. Never again. Do a refurb. Train your staff in customer service skills. Wouldn't stay again if it were quarter of the price. Not good enough.

Sadly we were really disappointed with this place. Got there after three hour journey to find no one on reception and a message to ring ‘reception’ on the phone. It rang and rang. No answer. One of us knocked on a door as voices were heard behind it. A young woman came out and said ‘you need to ring reception’ not very welcoming. I explained no one was answering. She went off to find someone. Checked in. Got to room, we had booked a triple but walked in to find just a double made up and sofa. Was becoming more irritated. Went back to reception, had to ring again. Explained third bed not made up. Man on phone apologised and then shortly after two people came with bedding ( tossed over her shoulder- we could see linen cupboard through our glass peep hole). They made the bed then went. No conversation and we felt we were in the wrong even when I asked how to turn the heating down as room was boiling. Went to bar for drink. Asked for hot chocolate but man looked at the machine and said sorry lovely it’s off. I wondered why he couldn’t just put it on? Anyway three juices cost £10 and we didn’t stay long as group of shady clientele in bar. If the start wasn’t bad enough, throughout night there was lots of noise and banging. Turns out when we saw two police people arriving and walking down the corridor this morning that there had been an altercation in a room and people had been arrested. Hardly felt safe. Went for breakfast. Very stressed lady asked for my room number. Said I was paying replied I need it anyway. Asked for porridge. Paid. Was presented with plastic cup of dry porridge that I needed to fill with hot water. Asked where I got the compote that was described on menu with the porridge she told me they don’t have it. I asked for a banana which she did get. Just felt a real nuisance though. Heard her complaining to another customer ‘I’m on my own!’ when I left the restaurant the lady that served me plus another were busy chatting and ignored me. When I walked past reception to go back to the room I asked was it safe as our night was completely spoilt by all the noise ( all around) and she replied they’ve been arrested that situation is sorted and they’ve been barred, I can’t say about tonight. Hardly great reassurance! . It may have been sorted but that doesn’t really help us having little sleep last night and me having to work from here today. When I walked back to room, the outer door to the corridor had been fixed open so anyone could walk in. I am not going to be staying tonight which I have paid for. I am very unhappy.
