If you want a good nights sleep, find somewhere else.
The bathroom was nice but the shower was filthy! See pictures attached.
The bed was uncomfortable, just had a bog standard home made wooden base and the bedding didn’t even match and the Pillows were lumpy.
The pub had what seemed to be a lock in with loud music playing until the early hours.
The pub was dark and dirty with wires hanging around, the DJ was awful.
We were checked in by a bouncer…says it all really.
We were woken up at 6am by next doors alarm clock. Went on until 6:15.
We then could hear them snoring and sneezing.
There is mould on the wall by the window and paint peeling off on same wall.
The rest of the walls are scratched and scuffed.
We paid £70 for our room and thought it wasn’t worth more than £30
There is a kettle with tea, coffee and milk available in the room along with a hairdryer.
The hand wash in the shower room is filled with washing up liquid, but there is plenty of toilet roll.
We won’t be returning and feel that the whole place needs a complete makeover, it has a lot of potential but maybe in the hands of someone who half cares about their guests

I loved the friendly staff who made me feel very welcome, once they let me into the building. The meal I had was the best skewered chicken I have ever eaten. I also loved the coleslaw and the beautiful delicate fries. A ceiling fan in this hot weather was a godsend too. The other people in the venue were welcoming and friendly too. It felt like a home from home. I was also very lucky to have a DJ night on the night of my stay, other folk might not expect this. I understand they have karaoke on Saturdays too. It's a shame its so far from my home because I'd love to go back there to enjoy the company and the food.

Myself and my family enjoyed a wonderful roast dinner at the Ruby. Lovely staff , friendly customers , Would highly recommend trying this venue. I most definitely will be returning. One of the best roast dinners I’ve had. Absolutely beautiful.

Sunday Roast, the British tradition like the Fish & Chips. This is the first Sunday here and we love to try this little neighborhood pub/restaurant/hotel as our Airbnb is a block away. The lady wasn’t that friendly but after a few short conversations as our English is so Americanized, it changed. We ordered Mix Roast, Beef Roast, a soup of the day which is Mint Peas and a small bottle of Apple Juice. The mix roast is so good as there are pork loin, chicken, beef and lamb. The soup is interesting and tasty and the apple juice is good especially for £1.50. The lady even switched on the heat for us in the inner lounge where we sat. It was a perfect Sunday lunch and the best meal in Brighton so far.

Booked through company portal. Images very misleading. Arrived to discover no parking and was asked to pay for a parking permit to park on the street. £8.00. Escorted to the room with my disappointment increasing with every step. Room was below par for the price, small single bed, no wardrobe, no desk work working or chairs. Only saving grace is the location to my appointment and the takeaway next door.

This is not a place you wish to stay. We were fully aware of the size of the rooms but that's all we were aware about!! When walking in you are hit with a musty smell. The bed was so hard with 1 very flat pillow and the quilt smelt musty so much so we slept fully clothed. We tried to have a shower but the water was cold, I wish I was joking but there was no hot water at all. It was not just our room as our friend's had the same issue. The towels also smelt like they hadn't been washed in a year. Just not a nice place to stay and to add to it the TV was almost falling off the wall. Oh and don't forget the flies on the window seal. I would avoid at all costs

The Bad - This is not a hotel. It has no reception. It has no food at all. If you like or need your sleep, do not stay here over the weekend. The music, which is played is really loud in the pub and this is right below the rooms. The rooms are very, very small. You cannot unpack your bags as there was no storage apart from one bedside cabinet. The ventilation in the rooms is poor as you cannot open the windows due to the noise. There is a fan but our remote did not work but was replaced when we asked. The balcony is an outdoor space is run down and the view is of a load of rubbish. The Bins were completely full and left outside the front of the pub all weekend. Not a great vision. The good - I do have to say that the Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the shower was good. Think I'm still grumpy over the lack of sleep. I strongly recommend you do not go here!

Small clean and well presented. Clean rooms and comfy bed. Good shower. Cannot find fault at this price over Easter. Was on the road and needed good value comfy nights sleeps. And that’s exactly what I got. Thanks . If your just needing the basics on a weekend trip this place fine.
