Beautiful boutique hotel very close to Duomo and train station. It is exceptionally clean. It is a very busy area till 11pm at night. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. The b and b is located on the 3rd floor with an elevator that barely fits 1 person plus luggage. Just know if you can’t climb steps the lift is very very small. You need to use what’s app to communicate to owners for breakfast options. First night we returned to no large bath towels for the morning and owners are not there past the afternoon. We told the owner that hand towels were left but no bath towels. He said they did not have clean ones but tomorrow we will have bath towels. Breakfast is okay! It is served within 8-10am and the first day we explained we had a tour we had to leave for 8am and he agreed to serve at 7:45am but it seemed as if it was a bother. We have stayed at many many air bnbs and it seems as if you are bother more than they want to help you! Yes it’s clean and close to things but we didn’t feel as comfortable as we should have in staying at their place! It’s a beautiful view but you are a business make people feel welcome and relaxed!

If you want a US style hotel, with a giant lobby, extensive breakfast buffett, a big elevator, etc. this is not for you. It does have a Starbucks below it if that helps you though. If you are looking for a quaint, well appointed, perfectly located (and I mean perfectly located), family run, quiet, bed and breakfast definitely give it a reservation. Location is close to Duomo, station, shopping, tonnes of restaurants, and museums. Room has everything you need, good space, comfortable bed, and despite being on a busy road almost no noise. We stayed in the "Berta" room had a nice view. Hosts are not there all the time, but communications are fine, just think ahead and they'll sort out everything. We (wife, nine year old and I) really enjoyed our stay.

We feel lucky to have picked such a great place for our amazing stay in Florence. We stayed here for nine nights. The location is absolutely perfect. It's about a 3 minute walk to the Duomo and 10 minutes to the train station. San Lorenzo is about 5 minutes away and the river is about a 10 minute walk. We walked everywhere in Florence and took a cab only once. The B&B is on the second (third to Americans) floor of an old but restored building. It has a small elevator. The B&B is only about six rooms, and one of your hosts, Federico and Francesca, is there every day, and are always available via phone or text. Rooms are tidied, trash is emptied, and beds are made by a housekeeper daily. The rooms are all different and each is named after a notable Florentine woman. We stayed in Simonetta, which is a large double in the corner of the building. We deliberately chose the larger room due to the length of our stay and the larger bathroom -- but for a night or two, one of the smaller rooms would have been fine. Fortunately, photos of each room and square footage information is clearly included on the website, so you can make an informed choice. The bed in our room was huge -- it was two twins together made up as a king, which was as large or larger than an American king. The bed was made up American-style with a top sheet (at least for us). The bed was very comfortable and not mushy like a lot of hotel beds. We also had a large walk in area with a two drawer dresser and a closet with a shelf above next to the large bathroom. There was plenty of space, even for a long stay. Breakfast is served to you in the breakfast room based on choices you send in the afternoon prior by dropping off a form (see photo) or sending a text. The breakfast is not an American-style breakfast with eggs and bacon, but an Italian style breakfast, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. In addition to coffees and drinks, there are croissants and breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, meats like ham and salami, and cheeses. It's plenty of food of high quality. It took us a couple of days to figure out how not to order too much. Try the daily cake! Although the B&B is adjacent to a major street, they have done some terrific soundproofing, because the room was very quiet with the windows closed. In addition to being available for questions, Federico and Francesca also provide a useful book of places to see and eat. We had an amazing dinner of Florentine steak at one of the recommended restaurants. Federico also went out of his way to answer any questions and resolve any small issues we encountered. If you want an impersonal, large, full-service hotel, that's where you should go, but we didn't go to Italy to stay in a Marriott! We couldn't have asked for a better location, a more comfortable room with lots of local character, or kinder hosts. When we are in Florence again, we'll be back.

We walked the short distance from the railway station having arrived by train from Pisa Airport. We did not have the door 'code' & nobody answered the bell so we entered when someone exited! We found the hotel entrance on the 2nd floor but there was nobody at reception & we couldn't contact anyone. Another guest messaged Frederico & after a while 2 young boys arrived & escorted us to our room (Beatrice) Only when I connected to Wifi did I see an email from Frederico sent at 2pm with code & instructions. Not everyone has Data Roaming on their phone so may I suggest that they should either use text messaging or email the day before with entry instructions etc Consequently we never did get a welcome drink. The hotel is small but perfectly formed! Our room was very spacious & had a small balcony. Unfortunately on the last evening we sat out there & both came home with alot of huge bites - I should have shut the balcony doors! The tea, milk etc was not replenished daily which is normally the case but the friendly staff who only seem to be there in the mornings will always help with anything. The hotel is literally a few minutes from the Duomo. We had pre-booked our tickets to the Uffizi & Accademia Galleries & also to the Boboli Gardens. The gardens were disappointing but on our last day we visited the Bardini Gardens which we enjoyed much more. We queued (but not for long) to enter the Duomo which was very under-whelming inside compared to the outside. We didn't climb the Cupola or the Bell Tower as was 30c! Overall we loved our stay in Florence. It was much hotter & alot busier than we thought it would be with alot of students around. Unfortunately we never got to meet Francesca but Frederico was the perfect host, extremely obliging & very helpful.

On a quiet street just off a busy one a a couple of minutes’ walk from the Cathedral piazza, location alone would justify choosing this property. The rooms are quiet, and have been restored to a period-specific decor, but with several modern amenities, high ceilings make them feel spacious. The hosts are welcoming. It is a bit of a walk up to the second floor, although there is a small elevator, which is nice for luggage and/or one, maybe two, passengers.

We spent nine nights at B&B Torre de'Conti, and consider ourselves extremely lucky to have picked such a great place for our amazing stay in Florence. The location is absolutely perfect. We walked everywhere in Florence and took a cab only once. The B&B is on the second (third to Americans) floor of an old but restored building. It has a small elevator that can fit one or two people (who like each other a lot). We did not use it much except for luggage when arriving and leaving. Both the front door of the building and the door to the lobby area of the B&B have codes. The rooms have old fashioned skeleton keys which are easy to use once you get the hang of it. There are signs politely asking you to turn off lights and HVAC when you leave, but unlike many hotels these days, there's no nonsense with the needing the key to turn on the electricity, so you can charge devices when you aren't in the room. The B&B is only about six rooms, and one of your hosts, Federico and Francesca, is there every day, and are always available via phone or text. We stayed 4 nights at this 6 room hotel in Florence in September 2022. The rating we give this hotel is 3 1/2, not 4 as indicated. Pros Within eyesight of the Duomo and surrounded by high end retailers. We were able to walk to every site we wished to visit, including the train station, which we used to travel to Rome. Most cities we visited had lots of trash and litter. Florence had the least. Cons The front desk is staffed by the owners, who are only there maybe 8 hours a day. The provided breakfast has a very limited selection. We preferred to go elsewhere after our initial breakfast. Funky, slow and old cage elevator barely holds two people. No room for luggage in same trip. The hotel is actually on the 3rd floor. If you don’t like the elevator, and use the stairs, it’s 50 steps up to the lobby. The shower was the size of a phone booth. The toilet seat had a broken hinge that caused it to be loose and wobbly. Our room was clean and quiet, but like most hotel rooms we stayed in, had no dresser or drawers. There was also no “Do Not Disturb“ sign, which was an inconvenience. The lobby and breakfast area had an unpleasant smell partially masked with an unpleasant air freshener. Couldn’t leave the curtains fully open because the breakfast room balcony was only two feet across from our balcony. View from our tiny balcony was basically staring at walls, conduit and stacks of old bricks. The place wasn’t awful but it was our least favorite hotel.

Absolutely lovely find. This accommodation provides peace and comfort after a busy day of sightseeing and exploring. The accommodation has only 6 rooms and is furnished to a high standard and has everything you require. The room is spacious and airy with a large and comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well and maintained a comfortable temperature. The location is amazing 10 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes walk to the Duomo. Francesca is friendly and helpful and checks daily for breakfast choices. I would strongly recommend.

I recently stayed here once in July and once in August, my fourth and fifth stays with Federico and Francesca. I have stayed in four different rooms and my goal is to stay in all six! Each one is unique, all are comfortable. Take the time to read the biographies of the six Florentine women after whom the rooms are named. I used to stay at a different B&B on the other side of the Duomo but the noise late at night was a big problem. Not here, it is very quiet. They are a warm couple who know how to treat their guests. I challenge you to find a better cappuccino in Florence. I look forward to my next stay.
