Premier Inn Frome

Awful! Premier Inn used to be really good. Now it’s basic and tired. We stayed here for two nights and contemplated leaving after one! On the evening the room was cold but the fuses had been taken out of both heaters. Thick dust on the surfaces, hairs in the bathroom. Two teabags for two people for two nights. ( Granted you can collect more at reception , which is unmanned but housekeeping know how many guests are to a room and for how long) The towels are wafer thin. There is a Beefeater attached to the hotel we thought we would treat ourselves to a steak…. Mistake! The meal arrived lukewarm, we asked for it to be sorted it came back on a hot plate with the steak burnt and the rest warm. Staff were unhelpful a complete waste of money. We ate out the following evening. The Inn is located on an industrial estate which seems to be the site for the local car meet so expect cars racing up and down until late evening. Very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend

Pefect base for a stop over before travelling onwards to Center Parcs. Free car parking too but make sure you type your car reg in at reception. Staff was friendly at reception and check in was quick and simple. The room was adequate and quite spacious. Comfortable bed and clean enough nothing. A little noise at night as people was walking by the corridor and closing their doors. We had the meal deal which consisted of 2 course evenings meal with drink and a breakfast in morning at the Beefeater’s next door. Evening meal was good wasn’t sure what drink we can actually get as it was an extra £1.50 if you wanted to upgrade the drink to a pint. Breakfast was fine too but however went to asked for scrambled eggs and the waitress took the order but this never came. Overall the buffet breakfast was fine.

A clean friendly hotel, the staff were super the room clean and comfortable and the dinner/breakfast meal deal really good value with both meals delicious, the choice at breakfast gave a quality English breakfast with decent sausage, bacon and proper runny yolk eggs and a continental choice with as much as you want, the steak at night was perfect

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent for a visit to Longleat animal park. Premier plus rooms well worth it for the air con as was a warm few days. Seemed a little understaffed at breakfast (beefeater) as staff were rushing about constantly and seemed quite stressed, however it was bank holiday and half term so I imagine this would not be a problem normally, Very happy with our stay.

Revived my TripAdvisor account just to write this review as it’s the first hotel I’ve ever had to check out of within an hour! On arrival the room was larger than most PI rooms which was the only positive. The bathroom smelt like sewage. The room felt like a sauna but I announced ‘it’s ok - I can put the AC on’. Then I realised there was no AC. The room was 25 degrees and then climbed to 26. So roughly the temperature of a lovely holiday abroad. There was a fan but it was just circulating the hot air. The window only opened a couple of inches. We’d travelled with two young kids and arrived at 9:30pm after a very long day so we were desperate to get to sleep but there was literally no chance of being able to get to sleep in that heat. The kids were so uncomfortable they were crying. I asked if we could move to a room with working AC but the hotel was fully booked. I then looked online at other hotels nearby but they were all fully booked too, probably because it was half term. In the end we had to check out after less than an hour and make the two hour journey home with two very upset kids. To add insult to injury, the front desk staff couldn’t have been less apologetic. They didn’t once say sorry for the situation. When I said we were going to have to check out, the woman just said ‘ok then’ and said ‘thanks, bye!’ as we left. I assume she must have to deal with constant complaints about the heat and must be fed up of this, but it was still terrible customer service - she was hugely passive aggressive, bordering on downright rude. We stay in Premier Inns all the time because they’re generally great for families, but this is the worst hotel ‘stay’ we’ve ever had.

Such a lovely clean hotel, brilliant value for money, the family room was huge, and eventhough it was busy and there were lots of people it was so quiet and the staff were so efficient and freindly still, couldn't fault it, perfect location to visit longleat and the beefeater attached was just as good for service etc
