Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station

Location was v convenient, just beside the major Hakata station which is good if u are using Hakata as a base for exploring Kyushu. Easy access to airport via cab or subway too. Cab fare was just JPY1700 to the airport. Plenty of shopping and dining options around Hakata station. Hotel provides free alcohol and soba for guests at certain time daily. Room was very small though even for single traveller; could have had more shelves or hooks around the room to keep stuff. It was very clean and modern. My main gripe is the lack of soundproofing of the rooms and you can practically hear everything going on outside of your room. On my first night, I was awoken at 130am by the occupants of the opposite room causing a huge commotion but I wasnt sure what was going on till I saw paramedics carrying an old lady out of the room much later. On the second night, new guests had occupied the opposite room and they were having some party in there causing alot of noise till past 1am. I called front desk for assistance and eventually saw 6 or more guests leaving the room.. Music from the garden on the 5th floor was also audible from my room on the 9th floor - perhaps management may want to consider lowering the volume of the music at night..

Location is excellence. Hotel is right beside the Shinkansen Station. Room is new and clean.

The room is a bit small but just nice to travel alone. However, do expect some noise from the neighbour since the rooms are very packed along the long corridor. Fantastic location, surrounded by shopping malls with station downstairs. But if you do drive, the parking at the hotel is quite costly.

Location is perfect too close from hakata station. If you have many luggage this hotel may not be convenient. Room very small and I chose a non-smoking room. But in the room there was a very bad cigarette smell.

Excellent location just next to JR Hakata station. Good place to base yourself if you need to keep taking the JR or local trains

Excellent location, just couple minutes from Hakata Station. Nearby have different shopping mall. Hakata station is a hub to go different tour spots. Room is tidy and room service is proactive. Will book again if i go Fukuoka in future.

It was a small but thoughtful gesture that added to the overall comfort and convenience of our stay. Furthermore, having a laundry room on-site was a game-changer for us. With children, laundry needs can quickly pile up, and having access to a well-equipped laundry room made it so much easier to keep up with the dirty clothes. It allowed us to pack light and ensured that we had fresh outfits for each day of our trip. In conclusion, our experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel is conveniently located just right beside the train station. You literally do not need to walk across any pedestrian, it is that close. Nearby hotel including Hotel Nikko is not bad either, but the bad thing is that you still need to walk for a considerable distance (maybe around 10 mins under the passage tunnel). Consider the relatively cheap price and wide selection of breakfast, I will definitely come back to stay here if I am coming to Fukuoka again. Location, location, and location.

Great location of the hotel. Right next to the train station. Free Sake and welcome soba after 5 PM. Small gym. The room was very small but clean. parking is expensive
