Avis : Hotel Naturwald Furano

Outstanding location just across the lift station, no problem getting a parking spot even during chinese new year. No convenience store nearby but the hotel has a minimart in the lobby. Hotel itself is great, dont expect international chain standard but rather local rustic. Bit rough on the edges but rooms are ok size for japan, everything is working, well cleaned and no disturbing noises. Storage on the small side for 3 people. They have a lot of activities for families and kids but do it clever in a way thats not a nuisance to those who doesnt want screaming toddlers running around their feet. Breakfast offering is quite rich and tasty, probably best offering I had to date on a snowboarding trip to Japan. We had dinner buffet once also and while it is pricey, you can for sure eat its worth if thats your concern. Ladies of the family enjoyed the onsen a lot and said it was not too crowded any day. Staff was great both before and during the trip and helped out with various things, thank you! All in all we had a great stay in Furano and Naturwald and will hopefully be able to return again next winter.

Excellent location. As close to the quad chair as you can get. I recommend the dinner a breakfast package. Amazing selection of sushi, meats, seafood, burgers, curries and so so much more. Enough variety to feed my fussy eating child. Open bar and pour your own beers. Kids play area…..more for younger kids. Sweets table in the kids play area was awesome as were all the amenities, hot chocolate, beer, sake. Rooms were spacious although the beds are true singles and small. Sofa bed was utilised for child and was super hard. We would com back here again.

It’s a cozy and family perfect place for those who ski and snowboard.

Room was clean and comfortable, and the buffet dinner was excellent. There are plenty of candies for kids and free alcohol for adults during specific hours, which was a nice perk. The location is just so-so, as there’s no convenience store nearby, and the ski area opposite only opens on 21 December, so it wasn’t available during our stay. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor inconveniences.

View from hotel is snow hill, hotel is kids friendly with a small fun park, onsen is good, unlimited free flow drinks, ice cream, breakfast is good!

Overall it’s was ok. The selection of amenities was interesting, with some free snacks and drinks at allocated times.

staff are nice and hardworking polite. the add ed service like the lounge. Furano space. library. dinner and breakfast food is very delicious. free drink of alcohol. I will come again especially for skiing. so convenient.

It is convenient to the skiing resort. if you are traveling without renting a car, it is far away from the central area in Furano. However, if you are only aiming for most cost effective skiing trip. This is a good place with public transport.

Well positioned hotel near Kitanomine gondola & Hokkaido resort liner stop. Japanese style facilities & staff with adequate English spoken. Meals are buffet with enough variety but unchanged daily.

Location excellent. Preferably who wish to go skiing. Can ski in and out, easy access to Furano Ski Resort. hotel provides onsen and variety of snacks and drinks in the afternoon and night. A lot of variety foods for buffet breakfast. Recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

Good location

Perfect location for skiers - a two minute walk across the carpark and you're at the gondola/chairlift base station. The hotel also has a bus stop outside which is helpful to get to the JR station or into town, although buses are pretty infrequent. There are some dining options nearby, and a convenience store about 10-15 min walk away. The hotel sells discounted lift tickets (which you need to exchange at the ticket booth for a real ticket). The hotel has an eclectic older style charm. The "owl" branding throughout was cute, and there's a nice lounge where non-skiers can relax with lots of reading material (most in Japanese). Free snacks and drinks each afternoon in the lobby are a nice touch. The onsite indoor and outdoor onsens are relaxing. There's a laundry with coin operated washer dryers, which is handy. Breakfasts were decent, although some dishes were a bit sweet for our taste, and there was very little variation from day to day, which is an issue for a ski resort where guests typically stay for multiple days. Staff allocate you to a table (different each day), a system which works pretty well and avoids having to hunt for a table at busy times. Some procedures seem a bit overcomplicated - checkin involved our name being taken, then being called 10 min later and guided through a self-checkin touchscreen system which wasn't super reliable at reading passports. Also you need to specify your breakfast time each day and then come back and get a ticket later, which seems overcomplicated - better to just let you specify a default time on checkin with the option to vary manually if desired. However staff throughout the hotel are polite and helpful. The room we had was spacious with a view over the ski field. The bathroom was a modular unit - clean but a bit dated and with an awkward step up to get in. Beds were made up in a rather strange way - rather than a having a fitted bottom sheet, there was a thin mat laid on top of the mattress. If you move around at all while sleeping this mat ends up a lumpy mess and you often find yourself sleeping partially on the bare mattress.

Hotel locates right in front of ski resort and it is very convenient for us to access! Hotel service is pretty good and breakfast is not bad! Loved the effort that hotel try to give us .

Very convenient location, bus from Asahikawa airport arrives in front of the hotel, gondola station is rught opposite. Free beer and drinks every evening, was looked after well.
