Consilio B&B

Great hosts, great location, and a delicious breakfast each morning! Our family of 7 (split between 4 rooms and ranging in ages from 20s - 70s) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Consilio B&B last week. The rooms are clean and each has it's own bathroom. They also come with hairdryers and a small coffee and tea service. Stella and Liam put on a wonderful spread each morning with cereal, fruit, and either a traditional Irish or continental breakfast. Only a couple of blocks away from the beach, stunning views of Galway Bay and the Salthill Promenade in one direction, and a 20 minute walk into the heart of Galway in the other, this B&B makes for a great location to stay. After a busy day of shopping, eating, and taking in the sights around Galway, as well as a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher, it was nice to come back to the peace and quiet of our rooms. (If you'd rather not walk, there is a bus stop one block away or you can easily Uber or call a Taxi.) Weekend mornings on the Salthill Prom make for great people watching -- the coffee shop at the end gets very busy, and the neighborhood has some good eats and drinks of it's own. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. The location is perfect. Easy walk to Promanade in Salt Hill or 10 minute walk to Market area in Galway. Stella and Liam are extremely welcoming. The room was comfortable and very clean. Our room had a very comfortable double bed and a single bed, and we still had plenty of room for suitcases. Excellent breakfast. We did not realize it was cash payments, so just needed to run around the corner to the ATM. Would stay there again! Galway Gem!

Stella is the sweetest. She and Liam cook up a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs etc. Clean room with top sheet and face cloths. 15 or 20 minute walk to either city center or the Salthill restaurants. About an hour and a half drive to Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey. Breathtaking drive. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed there for one night last week and it was really a great choice. B&B is in a quiet zone close to Salthill promenade and not far away from Galway center. (10 minutes walking) Stella is such a lovely person, the room is comfortable and the breakfast is very good. It's not the first time I go to Galway but this was the best B&B I stayed. Really great B&B walking distance to town. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is good. Liam and Stella were fantastic, they are so welcoming and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Would definitely recommend!
