Location: Conveniently located near Carnival City entertainment complex in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Room: The rooms at Road Lodge Carnival City are on the smaller side, but well-laid out to accommodate a family of 3 comfortably. Despite the compact space, everything you need is right at hand. The beds were clean and comfortable.
Cleanliness: This property gets a 5-star rating for cleanliness. The hotel staff clearly takes pride in keeping all public areas and rooms spotlessly clean. Our room was thoroughly cleaned each day with fresh towels provided.
Amenities: In-room amenities were basic but sufficient. Free wifi access allowed us to stay connected. The daily refreshment of ice from the vending machine in the hallway was a nice touch.
Breakfast: While we did not partake in any meals here, breakfast is buffet and by the standard of most hotels, was ample and well-prepared.

J'ai séjourné ici deux fois à cause des vols tard le soir / tôt le matin depuis l'aéroport OR Tambo. L'hôtel est bien situé et on peut marcher depuis et vers les terminaux (arrivée comme départ). Le personnel est cordial et serviable. Les chambres sont plutôt basiques mais correspondaient à mes besoins.
Plusieurs problèmes cependant qui me feront ne pas revenir à moins d'avoir besoin d'un accès facile à l'aéroport - Pas d'eau potable fournie - c'est une simple courtoisie de fournir une bouteille ou 2. Les lampes de chevet ne s'allument pas (peut-être ont-elles besoin d'être remplacées), pas de corps lavage ou shampoing dans la salle de bain, serviettes un peu vieilles… je n'ai pas essayé le petit déjeuner mais la propagation semblait prometteuse

I have lived here for how many months? honestly the management Has a wrong way of treating their guest long stay or not.. I mean I was paying 650 everyday and never once did they remember to send a cleaner..don’t pay up by 10:41am and then cleaner comes after 10days and she isn’t supposed to clean?! For a place I have stayed at the same apartments for 4months?

Celeste and Peter were the most kindest and unbelievably accommodating hosts I have met to date. From the moment i arrived to the day I left, they showed so much care as to my well being. The Breakfast they served was fit for a King and Queen. I just loved their love and care they shoed. The room I stayed in was spectacularly comfortable and had everything in it to make life so very much relaxing, especially after a hard days work. Even the Shower and bathroom had more than the usual soap that a hotel would normally provide. There was a bathing scrunchy, Shampoo, fragrant bathing and shower gel and just so much more. Every morning, Peter or Celeste would get up early and make sure that the Coffee (specially brewed by them) was ready for me. Seriously, I have never experienced this type of hospitality in all of my travel, whether in South Africa, China, America, Central Africa, and every other place I have been to. Do you know that they even waited up for me when I arrived at 01h00am the one morning because I had been in meetings right into the night - Wow, that was altogether amazing. A very Special thank you to Celeste and Peter from the bottom of my heart. Shane C Bryant

this was a wonderful stay and a great choice to celebrate my partners birthday. I would love to give a special thanks to chef Richard who prepared a wonderful birthday dinner for my partner which was short notice, but he was able to pull it off. The staff have an amazing treatment towards their customers, I also have to acknowledge the cleanliness of the place.

IInvitéLibère location. Le restaurant est ”oK” mais le personnel n'est pas bien formé. Le lin est déchiré et vieux et il y avait un grand trou dans la cour. Tous les tapis travaillent ”EXACTement la mauvaise façon de tourner, ce qui est vraiment confusionnel et vous ne pouvez pas nettoyer vos dents dans la piscine car il n'y a pas de chambre Le petit déjeuner était en anglais et on leur dit qu'ils étaient ”fusés de sauces”. Nous avons demandé un toast et ils sont revenus et nous ont dit qu'ils étaient fusés de pain brun !! L'hôtel était un petit bijou en son temps, car les environs sont vraiment amoureux, mais malheureusement il est en train de descendre rapidement. Ils ne nous reverront pas. Un grand regret.
