We booked the accommodation for 6 nights for Sept 1-7 2024 for four. The management charged our debit card instead of the preferred credit card listed. We live in France and since this occurred close to the weekend we were left overdrawn and without available cash for 3 days and were forced to access funds from an international account. When we politely and I do want to emphasize politely explained this via the message property manager access regarding our situation, we were met with such questionable unprofessionalism and rudeness we were really upset and disappointed. It was a simple error and could have very easily been handled politely by both parties. Instead we were immediately told that “We do not owe you any explanations” and so on. Communication continued to decline regardless of our attempts to resolve a simple refund and recharge for a booking made 5 months in advance. We were told that they would cancel our reservation, which I now doubt due to the booking sites scoring system. We obviously couldn’t risk that and had to go ahead and cancel within the free cancellation period and to rebook elsewhere. The management company then wanted to refocus the cancellation blame back to us. I sent them a copy of their message where they stated they planned to cancel our reservation. I would personally not wish to stay at accommodations, regardless of score whose management team behaved so rudely and unprofessionally for no good reason or cause. Please be aware when booking on accommodation sites that some of these accommodations are not host owned and are managed by agencies whom don’t really care about your experience. We rebooked elsewhere and got a second bathroom and à beachfront view with access to a beautiful beach. Anyway buyer beware!
