We had a great time, and would definitely come again! If you are looking for a low-key, not-overly touristy, and personalized experience, I highly recommend you stay here. First, the small size of the resort and island, and the personal service provided by the staff, made for a really nice vibe. The experience was personalized for us each day. The staff are all very friendly and flexible. They each worked hard to ensure that we had what we needed and enjoyed ourselves. We did diving, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, swimming in the pool, and reading on the hammock on the docks. The staff were very knowledgeable. The dive master and snorkeling guides were top-notch. Everything we did and in every service provided was thoughtfully provided. There was a relatively small number of guests (10-25 depending on the day) and we ate all meals together. The guests were all adults (ages 30-70), who were here for something particular, like celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or spending time with a loved one. We were able to get to know a few people, and because we could regularly interact, it wasn't all "small talk" with strangers. At the same time, it was easy to disappear and be on our own. Don't bother with fancier dress—keep it light and comfortable. Note that we came at the edge of the busy season, and so weren't able to do a mainland excursion (they require a minimum number to go) so keep that in mind when planning when to come. The island is small and narrow. It is hot here, but you can be on the windward side and the constant ocean breeze keeps things pleasant. The leeward side gets a bit hotter and you are more likely to encounter mosquitos around dawn, dusk, and evening so bug spray is a good idea. Bring sunscreen and cover up if you are sailing snorkeling, or kayaking. There are animals everywhere. We saw sharks, manatees, dolphins, rays, eels, lobster, and many varieties of fish while snorkeling, sailing, and off of the dock. We watched birds including a trio of pelicans, a flock of cormorants, grackles, and other little birds. There are little land crabs and hermit crabs that come out at night so bring a light to ensure you don't step on them.
