This is a Wonderful Spot run by Wonderful People. Lynne was so helpful to us while securing the booking and it was a pleasure to meet her by accident when we arrived. Jill and Charlie were both splendid in looking after us for breakfast and what a breakfast? Certainly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had with great variety and excellent presentation.The Coffee Shop is also delightful.

It is rare to give a score of 10 out of 10, but Arthur’s lived up to expectation and more. The self check-in seemed a little impersonal at first sight, but it worked flawlessly. Our room (3) was perfect, and my wife loved the powerful hairdryer and shower. The breakfast offering is simply the best you will find anywhere, set in the stylish dining room which morphs into a coffee shop during the day. Jill epitomised a Northern Irish welcome with her chatty and warm attention. Thank you. There is no onsite parking but this was not really a problem with on-street parking and a public car park nearby. This is an old building so sound does travel, but the plus’s far outweigh this minor criticism. My wife comes from Hillsborough and we will be back!

1st visit, easy self check in. Public car park a couple of minutes away. Allocated room no.5..The Fairford. Compact but perfect, excellent bathroom. Lovely view of the church at rear. Minutes walk to all, little independent shops, gastro pubs & of course Royal Hillsborough castle & gardens. Amazing breakfast. Highly recommend. Looking forward to our return. Thank You Arthur's 😊

I have to say this is one of best places I have stayed at for a while. I was most impressed by an impeccable customer service and the attention to detail on the small things that the big chains miss, based on cost cuttings. Clearly there has been great investment in the building and the rooms and they certainly cater for a short stay with all the creature comforts that one might need. Breakfast was amazing…. I have been to the coffee house before for a sandwich and drink which was equally good, but did not realise there was associated accommodation at the time. Would wholeheartedly recommend Arthur’s. Arthur's is a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast. The rooms are spotless with very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. The standout was the owners communication and helpfulness to ensure we had comfortable stay. Royal Hillsborough is beautiful, although on this occasion we were passing through.

So glad we stayed here. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and beautifully furnished. The bed is big and comfortable. If you have a lot of luggage or you are staying for longer then you should probably consider upgrading to a bigger room, as the standard rooms are small and have very little storage space. Breakfast was very nice. The village is lovely, there is a popular pub just across the road (and two others nearby) the parking is nearby and cheap, and there is a lovely walk around a lake just behind the hotel (go through the churchyard). We didn't go to Hillsborough Castle as it wasn't open, but we still had a lovely time. Some street noise at night (even at the back of the building) but it's a town, what do you expect! We would chose this hotel again.
