The hotel is clean, bright and modern. The rooms are pleasantly designed and the standard of cleanliness was good, including linens and towels. On our first night we didn’t sleep that well due to a small, thin, waffle bed covering. However, when we asked for an extra sheet we were immediately provided with a comfortable duvet. We’d already paid extra for a sea view but were installed in an inward facing room. Spiderman could have seen the sea if he’d leant out far enough with the help of a web, but all that filled our field of vision was the opposite block of rooms and people smoking on their balconies. So we had to pay extra extra to move to the front. This made a huge difference to our experience as we had a wonderful view of the bay, boats and paragliders. We would sit on the balcony with a cup of tea (take your own Earl Grey) or a post dinner drink. There’s a fridge and kettle in the room. The food was fine - lots of fresh, delicious salads and mezze, a selection of hot dishes and nice patisserie. Sometimes there was sushi and the baclava was addictive. It’s clear to see that everyone here very much enjoys their food. The restaurant felt a bit like a canteen, with lots of hard surfaces, so quite noisy when busy. Table service for drinks and warmer lighting could help. Maybe a flower or a candle? One was definitely not encouraged to linger. There are a few tables outside. The juice was artificial and luminous. You had to pay extra for fresh orange juice, despite the impressive, generous array of fresh fruit on hand. The coffee, available all day, was delicious and cakes were provided in the afternoon. Pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets and chips were on hand for those people who couldn’t wait for their lunch. Then they had their lunch. The sea was refreshing, clear and made for a lovely cool swim. Sun beds were freely available - although the hotel was definitely not full at that time. Security was attentive around the jetty and beach. Lying in the sun at the far end of the jetty was relatively peaceful. Beds were also lined up around the pool, close to the bar, for those who preferred a more “sociable” time. One day, with poor weather, we had a sauna, which was free of charge. The wine was drinkable but, disappointingly, no fizz - Cava, Prosecco or Turkish equivalent - was offered. This was unexpected for a 4* hotel and we have had it at other similar hotels. The cocktails were a limited list of pre-made holiday mixtures, no *****nis or Dirty Martinis here I’m afraid. However there’s a very nice Turkish bar called “Felix” down the prom that does make them with quality brand spirits and, also does very good food if you need a change of scenery. At night the pool/bar area lacked atmosphere and ambient lighting. A few candles in locally sourced lanterns or some fairy solar fairy lights in a bit of foliage could have made all the difference. Very kind and attentive , the room very nice decorated plus the food and the cocktail 🍹 in the bar fantastic ,,, really good atmosphere Definetely I will be back in my next holidays . Hélas, hélas, trois fois hélas ! Séjour du 15/05/2023 au 22/05/2023. Chambre 2623. Lever 03:15 pour prendre l’avion direction Turquie aéroport de Dalaman. La suite… plus 3 heures de route ! Important : cela montre dans quel état nous sommes arrivés à l’hotel 5 étoiles pour découvrir une chambre petite, réhabilitée certes, mais aux meubles de couleur passée avec, devant la fenêtre, une paroi quasi verticale, plus haute que le bâtiment, composée de blocs de pierre à l’équilibre paraissant instable… Ça n’inspire vraiment pas confiance. Ajoutez à cela que cette paroi se trouve à 6-7 m de la facade du bâtiment… au sol… la route d’accès ! Merci pour le bruit des moteurs des livreurs et personnel (belles voitures) de management ! Après avoir demandé à changer, nous avons reçu une chambre donnant sur l’autre côté… (la paroi verticale a disparu mais pas le danger ! (se souvenir du passé sismique de la Turquie !). Le bâtiment s’appelle « B » Pourquoi pas les batiments A ou C ou D ou E… Ben l’hôtel ayant ouvert en avril, au mois de mai les managers ont conclu, logiquement, qu’un seul bâtiment devait suffire (question d’économie, de personnel et autres )… Vite la plage ! Raté, le sable est rapporté, sur un fond vaseux, ainsi que les cailloux blancs (qui donne une si idyllique photo dans le catalogue !)… des silex coupant les pieds ! Ah si ! Les installations de plage sont conséquentes et l’eau est claire, très claire, tranparente ! Un très bon point ! Il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour les enfants mais à cette époque, normalement, ils vont à l’école. Passage au buffet, devant la piscine inférieure où déjà la « musique » agresse les tympans. Le buffet, donc, est plutôt mince et il faudra m’expliquer l’histoire du « all inclusive extra ». Je ne vois pas de différence avec un « all exclusive » ailleurs «normal» ! Un clin d’œil pourtant aux pizzaiolli bien sympathiques. Et puis d’un seul coup un tsunami sonore vous emporte. Ce sont les « animateurs » qui mettent la sono à fond pour les quelques minettes (à cette époque) perdues dans la piscine… et ça dure parce qu’ils s’écoutent parler ou plutôt gueuler dans le micro. Bref l’ambiance « vacances » en prend un sérieux coup. C’est suivi par la gym rythmique alors que vous vous assoupissiez tranquilos sur la plage. N’essayez pas d’etre un bon musulman parce que les appels à la priere (5/jour) sont très largement étouffés par la musique pour débiles mentaux profonds sortant des hauts-parleurs de Turouc hôtels ! (Je pense que le Muezzin doit jalouser les hauts parleurs de l’hôtel et ceux des pseudo bateau-pirates qui viennent relacher pour le déjeuner dans la baie ! Ça doit être dur pour lui de se voir dépasser par leurs décibels !) Review for Met Boutique Hotel in Marmaris: I recently stayed at Met Boutique Hotel in Marmaris and had a mixed experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also several disappointments that affected my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would rate it as a three-star accommodation. One of the main issues I encountered was the inadequate air-conditioning in our deluxe room. The room temperature remained uncomfortably hot throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. Despite notifying the staff about the issue, the problem was not resolved, and this greatly affected my comfort during my stay. Additionally, I had requested in advance for the sofa bed to be prepared, but upon arrival, it was not done. This lack of attention to detail was frustrating, especially after a long journey. Furthermore, when I requested additional mattress sheets at night, they were not available, which was inconvenient and unexpected. The hotel's address was not clear in the reservation instructions, and navigating the stone-grounded uphill streets of Marmaris with luggage was quite challenging. This lack of clarity made the arrival experience more difficult than it should have been. The comfort of the mattress and pillows provided in the room was below par. They were noticeably uncomfortable, which affected the quality of sleep during my stay. This aspect could definitely be improved to enhance the overall guest experience. On a positive note, the hotel's location and view were impressive. The scenic surroundings and proximity to attractions added value to the stay. Moreover, the cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and the recent renovations gave the property a fresh and modern look. However, it's worth mentioning that despite reserving a family two-bedroom room for four people, we were given two separate small rooms instead. This was not the arrangement we had anticipated, and it did not meet our expectations for a comfortable family stay. In conclusion, Met Boutique Hotel in Marmaris had its share of disappointments. The issues with the air-conditioning, lack of prepared sofa bed, unavailable mattress sheets, unclear address instructions, uncomfortable mattress and pillows, and the incorrect room allocation were all factors that affected my overall experience. Nevertheless, the hotel's location, view, cleanliness, and recent renovations were positive aspects that should be acknowledged. If improvements are made in the areas of guest comfort and attention to detail, the hotel has the potential to provide a more enjoyable stay for its guests.
