Wellness Hotel Happy Star

Nice hotel with great wellness - swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi, sauna for an extra charge. The gym was not enaugh.. if you want to increase the weight on the barbell, it will takes you a lot of time..(very old system). All wellness and gym only until 8:00 PM. Rooms comfortable, everything clean. Hotel staff - i have some notes.. At breakfast they don't notice that there is not milk, eggs, spoons, etc. .. They don't say hallo, they don't smile. At check-in the receptionist didn't explain anything to us, she handed us the keys and that was all - for me insufficient... (no info about the safe, WiFi, where to find other information, etc.) On the other hand, check-out was pleasant, the receptionist (other one) was nice and fast The overall impression was positive and we enjoyed it :-)

Absolutely amazing hotel, very nice room with very comfortable beds There is beautifull wellness, big indoor swimming pool. delicious food, kind staff. Very good location for trip by foot, bicycle or car. Very closer to Austria. And there is a national park .

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We came as a group of four adults and five kids (0-3y). We choose this hotel because of the unlimited access to the pool, fine playground and indoor play room. Some things were great, some things little bit dissapointing. Pros: - very nice spacious room, plenty of storage place, comfy beds, very good lighting (you can chose the intensity), big bathroom, everything new and clean - nice playground for kids - the quality of food, dinners were delicious, breakfast simple but tasteful Cons: - kids playroom was small, some toys old, some toys dangerous for small kids, located in front of the wellness reception, far from our room, far from the restaurant and open only from 10AM - the pool was open also only from 10AM, water was quite cold for kids - massage was OK but since there is an external masseuse they didn´t offer more time options - staff in the restaurant friendly one day and annoying next day, same for the wellness receptionist, one was very nice but the other one seemed annoyed by the kids - one day the restaurant was crowded and we were told they are not able to take our order - not possible to access wellness on the day of the check out

Wonderfull accomodation, very good services inclusive wellness and kids playgroud. Tasty meals and possibility to select wine for diner or for a gift. There are many variations for a trip everytime to national park on Austrian ir Czech side.

To begin with I thought the receptionist was quite cold. Room was spacious, although I’m not sure why we’re given room for disabled? Nevertheless, the rooms were nice, tidy and baby-cot was waiting for us so we didn’t need to use ours. Pool and whirlpool were very nice, but was slightly confused when I found out we didn’t have dressing gowns in room but had to rent them + we’re lucky to get any as there were last two left? Biotop swimming area was very interesting thing to see, and quite romantic in the evening. Best part of our stay were lovely girls at the restaurant/bar who were really nice, helpful and so caring especially with our baby boy. Buffet breakfast were good, with options for everyone. We’ve also very much enjoyed dinner’s a la carte. We’ve enjoyed both outside and indoor kids area, although unsure why was there a necessity for locking up the indoor one before the “Wellness centre receptionist” starts her shift? But that’s obviously not an issue 🙂 The hotel could be better prepared for kids though. No kettles or microwave in rooms, no option to borrow a kettle, so bartenders “had to” give me teapot with hot water instead. One last thing, I wouldn’t expect to pay for storage of bikes, but I understand hotel wants to make money on majority of guests that are in season on bikes

Sehr schöne und großzügige Zimmer mit Komfort. Große Fensterfront mit schöner Aussicht auf die Weinberge. Der Tag beginnt mit einem perfekten Frühstücksbüffet. Tagsüber kann man durch den Nationalpark Thayatal wandern oder im hauseigenen Wellnessbereich entspannen. Am Abend kann man im Restaurant den Tag mit einem perfekten Dinner mit anschließendem Barbesuch ausklingen lassen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem eine gewinnbringende Auszeit vom Alltag.
