Enjoy waking up in our 650sq ft, open floor plan cottage with a wood burning flame view stove, on our homestead with a large private Mountain Lake and 77 wooded acres to hike and enjoy! We have seasonal flowers such as daffodils, peonies, lavender, dahlias and more. We also have on the farm a variety of Farm Animals (chickens, turkeys, peacocks, geese, horses, dogs, cats and 1 pig) and (visiting wildlife) that love interacting with visitors. We consider our place a nature oasis of sorts, in contrast to some portions of the region, Our private lake is available for catch and release fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking. There is a propane grill for your use.Other nearby sites include historic Chattanooga, Tennessee Aquarium, beautiful Rock City Gardens and Ruby Falls attractions along with several local state parks with waterfalls at Fall Creek Falls , Savage Gulf and Rock Island State Parks for further Tennessee exploration. Container Albatross is a new container Home near Fall Creek Falls State Park in the heart of the Upper Cumberland. Container Albatross features a fully functional kitchen, (mini fridge, induction cooktop, and convection microwave) a queen bed, a full bathroom, fire pit, hammock chairs, and several additional amenities listed below! The area is filled with shopping, restaurants, hiking, waterfalls, state parks, kayaking, and much more!Container Albatross is a 20ft container home with an open living space and kitchen. There is a queen bed and a smart tv with Netflix and a variety of games and books to keep you entertained during your stay. The house has wifi and a desk space making it a perfect spot to catch up on some work if needed!The kitchen has 2 person dining bar, mini refrigerator, convection oven, 2 burner stove top, Keurig, cooking spray, salt and pepper. It also has a full dish set, pots, pans, mixing bowls and all of the essential utensils. We provide coffee, creamer and sugar as well. There is a small full bathroom which has a 1 person shower, toilet and all toiletries needed during your stay!There is a 8ft x 20ft covered front porch with swinging hammock chairs for relaxing. There is also a large fire pit area to enjoy! If you are looking for any particular thing to do during your stay, we would love to provide you with recommendations for things to do and adventures to enjoy.Other Details to note:-We are located in a some what rural area where you might not have any cell reception. We are adjacent to the Historic Dunlap Coke Ovens Park, and only one mile from the center of town - giving our visitors a quaint, secluded accommodation with the convenience of staying in town. The Quail House is a newly renovated 1970’s A-Frame cabin on the Cumberland Plateau near Fall Creek Falls State Park. Our cozy cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed and 1.5 bathrooms. The space is decorated with every detail in mind giving you a modern feel while keeping the vintage charm. Enjoy downtown Dunlap and all that the area has to offer. The area is filled with shopping, restaurants, hang gliding, hiking, waterfalls, multiple state parks, kayaking, fishing and more!This beautiful a-frame cabin is 15 minutes from downtown Dunlap, 30 minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park and 55 minutes from Chattanooga. The house is surrounded with many of different places and activities including waterfalls, hiking, shopping, hang gliding and many more! With all the things this area has to offer it makes it the perfect mountain getaway. The Quail House is an A-Frame cabin with an upstairs loft, which has a queen bed. The loft also has a half bath and a record player with hand picked records straight from our personal collection for your enjoyment. The living room has a flat screen smart tv with Netflix or any other streaming service that you may have. The house does have wifi and a desk space making it a perfect spot to catch up on some work if needed! We also have tons of board games and books to keep you entertained during your stay. There is a full kitchen with a 4 person dining area. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, Keurig, olive oil, salt and pepper. It also has a full dish set, pots, pans and all of the essential utensils. The kitchen leads to a large back deck with patio chairs for relaxing. If you are looking for any particular thing to do during your stay I would love to provide you with recommendations for things to do and adventures to enjoy.Some other things to keep in mind: -We are located in a some what rural area where you might not have any cell reception. We recommend stepping on the front or back porch to get service if needed. We do provide wifi though! - Our driveway is at a downward slant and has fresh gravel. If you decided to pull in please pull out slow so you do not get stuck. If you do not feel comfortable pulling in, there is plenty of room to park at the top of the driveway. -The stairs leading to the bedroom are not normal stairs. It is not a ladder but are steeper than your average stair case. We have included multiple photos of the stairs in the listing.
