Well maintained and innkeeper goes out of way to provide for customers. Very well done. Hotel has everything larger hotels have except for noise.

I was in town to watch my son pitch for the Genesee Rapids. This was the closest place to stay. I will definitely stay here again! The Staff was super sweet and the place was very clean. Its a cute place. It's peaceful, warm and welcoming all in one. I loved the smell of the sheets when I went to bed!! The bed was super comfortable!! Great place to stay. I will definitely recommend to anyone going to Houghton.

This place has poor management!!! I called on the afternoon of July 4th, and was told they had one room left - Rm 19 on the first floor - with two queen beds. I made a reservation, verified my credit card info, and was told that the front desk would be open until 11 pm. I was visiting my relatives at Rushford Lake, and my cousin was going to split the room with me. When I got there at 10:30, the woman at the front desk said they gave my room to someone else, and that I was switched to a room on the second floor with a single king bed. I was not happy because this messed up my plans, so I left. I don't think it's cool to take a reservation over the phone and then change it without notifying the guest ahead of time. When I first called, the woman told me they had one room left (Rm 19), so it didn't make sense that they were trying to switch me to another room. In all fairness, I think if they're going to do that to someone, they should offer them a discount.

We stayed at the Inn at Houghton Creek on a short getaway to Letchworth State Park. The Innkeeper was polite and friendly. The check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. The location is well situated for the South entrances to the park. Our room was dated but clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only suggestions would be a few updates to the room and public spaces. The air conditioner in our second-floor room was old and extremely loud. The building itself does not benefit from a central air conditioning system. The window screens had some holes in them, and the sashes were difficult to open. The door lock on the exterior door was sticky and wouldn't release my key. It took a little force on my husband's part to get it out. The lighting in the back stairwell was dim and made seeing the steps a bit difficult in the evening. The bedside lamp needed replacing or at least re-bolting to the wall. The bathroom fixtures could also benefit from an update. The country charm is definitely there; it just wants a little more updating to be country great.

Had a delightful weekend in Houghton visiting friends and the Letchworth State Park (about a 15-20 min. drive away). The front desk attendants were helpful and courteous. We appreciated the music playing quietly in the background of the lobby area. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the tv nice and big. Would be glad for an opportunity to stay again!

Pleasant clean inn at good value. There’s not too much choice for dinner restaurants locally so we would go to next closest town Fillmore, next time, for dinner. Breakfast snacks provided (cereal, yogurt, granola bars, fruit) with tea/ coffee were appreciated. Letchworth park is quite close with lovely hikes which is main reason we stayed here.

Very helpful and friendly staff! Nice amenities and very clean. The best location for visiting Houghton University. We’ve stayed many times over the past four years and it feels like coming home when we visit. Also love the music played in the lobby area!

Houghton Creek Inn is a great place to stay for us when we are visiting our son at his university. It is super convenient to campus. The facility is always very welcoming and clean. The staff are very accommodating. I had to add another night recently to my reservation and initially I thought it was going to be two rooms with different types of beds but in the end they were able to keep me in the same room with the two queen beds that was my preference.

The Inn at Houghton Creek is a great place to spend time. The friendly, helpful staff is there for you. The atmosphere is very peaceful and the place is quiet. My wife and I have stayed here several times and as always, the room was very clean. With round the clock coffee, tea and hot chocolate, snacks and fruit are always available.
