"We loved this little boutique family run hotel. The twins Ivan and Maury were very helpful and friendly. We loved that the free breakfast included lavazza coifee from a real coffee machine! And custom omelets and even crepes! The room was spotlessly clean and fresh and comfortable. We opted for a superior room Not sure what we up graded to lol! I loved that they had plenty of items in the vanity area in case you needed them and a lovely tea and coffee selection if you wanted something hot after hours The location was great for coming by boat or ferry. Very close to the riva and plaza St Stephen’s."

"Would highly recommend Violeta Hvar to anyone visiting Hvar. Violeta and her husband were so accomodating and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. They were even kind enough to offer to drive us down the hill to the port on check out with our luggage so we didn't have to walk in the heat. They also make homemade pizza on site which is an added bonus. The rooms are very clean, the balcony is large and has an amazing view of the port and islands. Thank you for an amazing stay! We will be back 🙂"

"We had an amazing time here. The hotel is family run & everyone is so nice and helpful. Vincent was fantastic bringing us in and out of town. Rooms are lovely with views of the sea. The pool & pool area is tranquil to relax at after walking around Hvar. Breakfast is gorgeous with fresh home cooked food provided. 15 min walk into Hvar on a busy road but we enjoyed walking in for dinner at night & the hotel will bring you in and out of town free at any time. Highly recommend!"

"First the cons, it’s up quite a steep hill from the port and town (10 to 15 minutes, longer on the way back up.) As long as you can manage this then read on because this place is fabulous. The owners have converted their town house in an ordinary urban residential street into a luxury b&b. They could easily have made more accommodation from their conversion but instead decided to go for quality over quantity. We stayed in B1, a spacious room with balcony and hot tub. On entering it’s easy to see the excellent design and thoughtful furnishings provided. The sunken bath has a backdrop of exotic plants and nice prints. The separate bathroom is large and has an excellent shower. But it’s the balcony that you are drawn to, large with comfortable seating and the perfect hot tub. The balcony is partially covered to allow both sun and shade. Ivan and Marija are the perfect hosts also, helping with booking trips and takeaway pizza after a long day out to visit the blue cave. We would definitely recommend this accommodation if you are staying in Hvar town."

"Myself and 3 other friends (Irish) stayed in Casa Di Lavanda for 7 nights and had the most exceptional stay. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable and really well equipped. There was an excellent complimentary cleaning service included which made the stay even more comfortable. Furthermore, the rooftop pool facilities were second to none, there are sun loungers and a full kitchenette and bathroom up there and a lovely coffee machine too. Ivan, the host, met us off the bus and drove us to the apartment so we didn’t have to carry out bags in the heat. Ivan’s attention to detail and care in maintaining the property is amazing, we are super thankful to him and his cleaning staff for making our star so enjoyable. The accommodation is also perfectly situated, close to the main town and all of the stunning beaches but quiet enough to get a great nights sleep. Overall I would highly recommend a stay in casa di Lavanda, we will be back! "

"L'hôtel le plus exclusif de l'île de Hvar, les chambres sont de taille moyenne et les chambres avec vue sur la mer font face au port, vous pouvez donc regarder les navires aller et venir. Il y a de nombreux restaurants à côté de l'hôtel, mais c'est quand même très calme la nuit Tournez à droite après avoir franchi la porte de l'hôtel, et il y a plusieurs restaurants de célébrités Internet, ainsi qu'un chemin menant au château au sommet de la montagne. Il y a un petit supermarché à côté de l'hôtel à 3 minutes à pied, ce qui fait la vie. pratique. Lorsque le navire accostera, l'hôtel organisera une navette pour vous aider à transporter les bagages. Lorsque vous descendez du navire, cherchez simplement le personnel de l'hôtel qui tient la pancarte de l'hôtel."

"Je ne sais pas comment évaluer cet hôtel. La position est vraiment bonne. Les autres peuvent être décrits sans parole. Personne ne nous a passé une demi-heure avant de nous accueillir. Le temps de départ est resté de moins d'un minutes pour que les gens se débarrassent de la porte et enlèvent directement la carte dans la chambre, Je suis encore venu dans le toilette pour m'avoir choqué, nous avons pris le temps de partir... à 11 heures, descendre vers le bas, un homme a fait le travail, un total d'attente de 40 minutes, et la réception n'a pas été en service pendant deux jours, une piste chaotique, en fait, pas recommandée."

"Slightly uphill from port, then a couple flights of stairs at the building to the perfect 1 bedroom vacation apartment, especially for a longer stay. The building appears to be freshly renovated, everything in the apartment is modern and beautiful, with sophisticated understated finishes and high-end fixtures and appliances. The kitchenette features a small half-fridge, a 2 burner induction cooktop and reasonable counter space, but NO oven, dishwasher or washer/dryer. It is stocked with a good array of pots, pans and utensils for making most meals, if cooking on vacation is your thing! There's also a nespresso type coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster and microwave. (A few small missing basics: never found any salt, pepper or sugar.). The sleek bathroom has a large stall shower and towel warmer rack. Lots of storage in both bedroom and bathroom, plus plenty of surface space everywhere to set up your things. There is a tv in both the living room and the bedroom. The living room has a very comfortable leather sofa (sofa bed?), the bedroom has a nice firm platform bed with light switches and a usb port on both sides. A lovely, sunny, high-walled stone terrace is right off the kitchen. 9 foot wood beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and beautiful lighting (both from the many windows during day, and built in lights in the evening). The building has just 3 units, and the manager Stefani was very sweet and helpful. Really feels like someone designed and furnished the place for their own use, nothing was overlooked! The included breakfast was served at Café Nora, a short walk down the street. It’s a shame they don’t offer to deliver a selection of pastries, cheese, fruit and juice to the door each morning so people can have their breakfast on the terrace. General advice for the historic towns in Croatia: as a very mountainous country, the side streets that are impassable to cars are usually steep stair cases. If you have limited strength or mobility or you’re on a big trip with more than carry-ons, always verify the elevation and how close a taxi can bring you to your accommodation before booking! We saw many older adults (like us) struggling mightily, dragging their luggage up the interminable stair-streets. Plus the very old buildings do not have elevators, so getting to your charming room will entail stairs inside the building as well. Villa Porta Maestra is just about a 5 min walk from the port, a gentle incline, plus we arranged for Stefani to meet us at the port to help. There is a bakery near the end of the port just before you turn onto the plaza -- excellent croissants and other pastries, everything we tried was wonderful! In addition, we found a very convenient drop-off laundry a couple blocks away, near a parking area behind the port, I believe. As an aside: I see this property is classified as a "Hotel", which is clearly an error using any definition of the word. There was no interim maid service, no staff on premises overnight, no p"

"Excellente expérience en Hvar et @ the Moeesy, B&G. Hôtel magnifique. Personnel est étonnant. Amiable, attentif, réaliste. Location (IMO) est parfaite. En dehors de la ville (très calme et relaxant) mais facilement marchable plusieurs fois par jour pour le déjeuner/la dîner ou d'autres activités. Un vrai traitement pour rester ici pendant le séjour sur Hvar. Et vous faire un service et aller à Stari Grad..."
