"Bel hôtel, mais seulement si vous pouvez le trouver autour de 250 euros la nuit. Au-delà, c'est probablement cher pour ce que c'est, mais bon, c'est Hvar et rien n'est bon marché. Les chambres sont agréables et la climatisation fonctionne bien. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon et Marko et son équipe se surpassent vraiment. L'emplacement est excellent, juste sur une petite plage gratuite, mais il faut louer des transats et se trouve à 10 minutes à pied de la vieille ville par la promenade. Maintenant, les points négatifs : La réception ne semble pas vraiment se soucier des clients et est même assez désagréable. Le deuxième jour, HK n'est pas venu quand nous avons demandé à la réception. On nous a dit : « Avons-nous demandé HK ? » C'était vraiment étrange à dire, vu que la veille, nous l'avions eu. Il a fallu des heures pour faire nettoyer la chambre et faire des visites de suivi pour les serviettes et le savon. Le dernier jour, nous avons laissé nos bagages et avons organisé le service gratuit de prise en charge et de dépose des bagages par le ferry (dont on ne sait rien avant d'arriver). Nous avons demandé à quelle heure les bagages partiraient pour pouvoir nous changer. Ils nous ont dit 15h30. À notre retour à 15h, les bagages avaient disparu. Ils se sont excusés, nous étions occupés, nous avons donc dû marcher jusqu'au ferry en maillot de bain, car nous avions prévu de nous changer. Ce n'est qu'un détail, mais cela montre qu'ils s'en fichent complètement et disent ce qu'ils veulent."

Villa Porta Maestra
"Slightly uphill from port, then a couple flights of stairs at the building to the perfect 1 bedroom vacation apartment, especially for a longer stay. The building appears to be freshly renovated, everything in the apartment is modern and beautiful, with sophisticated understated finishes and high-end fixtures and appliances. The kitchenette features a small half-fridge, a 2 burner induction cooktop and reasonable counter space, but NO oven, dishwasher or washer/dryer. It is stocked with a good array of pots, pans and utensils for making most meals, if cooking on vacation is your thing! There's also a nespresso type coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster and microwave. (A few small missing basics: never found any salt, pepper or sugar.). The sleek bathroom has a large stall shower and towel warmer rack. Lots of storage in both bedroom and bathroom, plus plenty of surface space everywhere to set up your things. There is a tv in both the living room and the bedroom. The living room has a very comfortable leather sofa (sofa bed?), the bedroom has a nice firm platform bed with light switches and a usb port on both sides. A lovely, sunny, high-walled stone terrace is right off the kitchen. 9 foot wood beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and beautiful lighting (both from the many windows during day, and built in lights in the evening). The building has just 3 units, and the manager Stefani was very sweet and helpful. Really feels like someone designed and furnished the place for their own use, nothing was overlooked! The included breakfast was served at Café Nora, a short walk down the street. It’s a shame they don’t offer to deliver a selection of pastries, cheese, fruit and juice to the door each morning so people can have their breakfast on the terrace. General advice for the historic towns in Croatia: as a very mountainous country, the side streets that are impassable to cars are usually steep stair cases. If you have limited strength or mobility or you’re on a big trip with more than carry-ons, always verify the elevation and how close a taxi can bring you to your accommodation before booking! We saw many older adults (like us) struggling mightily, dragging their luggage up the interminable stair-streets. Plus the very old buildings do not have elevators, so getting to your charming room will entail stairs inside the building as well. Villa Porta Maestra is just about a 5 min walk from the port, a gentle incline, plus we arranged for Stefani to meet us at the port to help. There is a bakery near the end of the port just before you turn onto the plaza -- excellent croissants and other pastries, everything we tried was wonderful! In addition, we found a very convenient drop-off laundry a couple blocks away, near a parking area behind the port, I believe. As an aside: I see this property is classified as a "Hotel", which is clearly an error using any definition of the word. There was no interim maid service, no staff on premises overnight, no p"

"This guesthouse on the island was excellent. It had free parking, which was very convenient for those driving. There was a supermarket right outside, so you could easily buy groceries for your trip. It was about a 20-minute walk to the tourist center or the beach (the beach we went to was probably the closest one; it involved walking along a rocky mountain path, so try not to wear flip-flops as it was difficult to walk on, but the beach itself was very comfortable and beautiful). It was great! The host was an elderly lady who very kindly greeted us and showed us around the room."

"Myself and 3 other friends (Irish) stayed in Casa Di Lavanda for 7 nights and had the most exceptional stay. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable and really well equipped. There was an excellent complimentary cleaning service included which made the stay even more comfortable. Furthermore, the rooftop pool facilities were second to none, there are sun loungers and a full kitchenette and bathroom up there and a lovely coffee machine too. Ivan, the host, met us off the bus and drove us to the apartment so we didn’t have to carry out bags in the heat. Ivan’s attention to detail and care in maintaining the property is amazing, we are super thankful to him and his cleaning staff for making our star so enjoyable. The accommodation is also perfectly situated, close to the main town and all of the stunning beaches but quiet enough to get a great nights sleep. Overall I would highly recommend a stay in casa di Lavanda, we will be back! "

"We stayed for 2 nights in September. The Dela is a bit out of town--but don"t worry--Magda and Vincent will be sure to take care of getting you back and forth from town. The room had a great view with a balcony and the pool area had good vibes. Great breakfast on offer every day. The Dela was a great base for our stay on Hvar. Highly recommend."
