In the winter, the area offers snowmobiling with direct access to trails, snowshoeing, skiing, and ice fishing on the pond. Fish include rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, perch, bluegill, and others. Lake Umbagog is a huge lake with tons of views and wildlife. Easily accessible and about 15 minutes from the house.Androscoggin River. I love fishing this river. Tons of moose and wildlife can be seen right off the road some days. Kayak, tube, fish, swim. Milan state park is great for hiking, fishing, picnicking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and has a wonderful view of mountain ranges in VT, ME, and NH from the fire tower. LL Cotes is a great place to go shopping for almost anything you need, gas, groceries, outdoor clothing, fishing equipment, guns, kayaks, snowmobiling gear and local souvenirs. Colebrook NH has your nearest grocery store and a few destinations. Bring a cooler to keep your stuff cold. To get there you pass Dixville Notch state park. Welcome to our camp on Akers Pond! Enjoy the amenities of home in the great north woods. The main floor has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, one full bathroom, and a living room with flatscreen TV and an electric fireplace. All beds are located on the second floor. The bedroom has a full size and twin bed. The open sleeping area has an additional 4 full size beds. There are two air conditioners on the second floor for the warm summer nights. On the front of the camp, we have a bonus room with a bar that boasts amazing views of Akers Pond and the surrounding mountains. On the lower lawn, there is a fire pit by the water. Guests will have access to the dock shown in the pictures. This side of the pond is shallow, allowing flat bottom boats to dock in front of the camp. We just bought the camp last year and continue to do upgrades. So far, we have done new flooring on the main level, new range, new water heater, new toilet, new tv, and a leather couch. Included with the camp is a smart TV, outdoor grill, and fiber optic high-speed Wi-Fi. Enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, ATVing and much more in beautiful Errol NH. Located in the heart of the Great North Woods where you can enjoy every season to its fullest. The camp is open year round with easy access to snowmobile trails (from the house) and ATV trails (about a mile down the main road-Rt 26). Machines can be rented in colebrook. Activities in the area are plentiful summer and winter. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing and ice fishing are some of the winter activities. Mountains, trails, lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams provide a multitude of summer fun. We are close to Akers Pond (walking distance/very short drive), near Lake Umbagog for boating and fishing, near Dixville Notch for hiking trails and views, less than 50 miles to Sunday River or Saddleback for skiing and golf. +/- 1 acre of land.The family friendly cape has a wooded interior throughout the main level.
